Wow, this photo is amazing. Did you use a 10 stop ND to lengthen the exposure, or were the clouds just moving fast that day?

I suppose I should have mentioned that, number 1 is my home town Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and the rest are from my recent holiday in Spain.

Haven't posted here in a while, but I just recently got a K-5 finally and have been loving this lens with the dynamic range of the K5.

The weather may have been crappy but those shots are gorgeous! I especially love the low cloud rolling over the mountain tops in photos 2 and 3.

Been a while since I've posted but I thought it was time to get more active again and stop lurking. The focus of this photo walk was to try and better control light, in this case the warm evening sun and first hints of fall.

Thanks Loco! I was so happy to get that Colosseum picture. I had spent most of the evening testing out different locations and wasting what I thought was the best light of the night before I finally managed to find a median in the middle of traffic to finally get an angle that I really liked.

Thanks Frog! The 15 really did a great job at capturing the colours that Italy had to display, especially while in Cinque Terre. The old stucco on the buildings just made for such interesting shots.

Thanks Iveous! I'm actually super jealous of your Tulum pictures. I visited Tulum back when I was just starting to get into travel and photography and sadly got nothing that I truly liked from that trip. It's such a beautiful location that I'd love to make it back one day and get a second chance at shooting it.

Here's a few more shots from Italy.

Wow, some great work the last couple pages! I finally got to give my 15 a workout on a recent 3 week trip to Italy, needless to say, it performed great.

If you don't mind me asking, what's your exact setup for your ND filter, Downfall? Your results speak for themselves so I wouldn't mind trying to pickup the same as you're using. Thanks.

Wow, those photos are amazing Downfall. Looks like I'll be adding a 10 stop Hoya to my wish list.

Here's a few shots from a recent trip to Milwaukee.

all of them are great but #1 and #3 are my favourites. #1 is extremely engaging thanks to the atmosphere and #3 is beautiful with the calm lake and the fog rolling out.

Thank you Nitrok, those are probably my favourite shots as well from this trip.

Thanks for the kind comment, Ray. It really does, which truly surprised me as well.

Thanks Squas, I some how completely missed that dust spot as I was doing my post processing so I'll be taking care of it for sure. I'll be sure to try out your tips regarding fill light and some sharpness as well.

Thanks for the kind comments, Tom.

Thank you, Wshi.

Thanks Rory, I did the 4 day 45km trek and it was certainly a tough travel but it made finally arriving to Machu Picchu that much more special.

Thanks Rob! That third shot was taken at roughly 6:30am as the sun was just starting to peak over the surrounding mountains.

Thanks for the kind comments, Dave. The height was one of my biggest worries actually going into this trip, but luckily moments of vertigo were few are far between.

Thanks SpecialK, I'll look up that movie for sure. As for closing Machu Picchu I don't think they will, but they have reduced the number of daily visitors allowed rather drastically now to reduce impact to the trails and the sites themselves.

Thanks Pauld.

Thanks CJ, lens used for these shots were my Pentax 10-17 fish eye and a Pentax 16-45mm F4.0.

Great series, Heinrich, love numbers 2 and 3 the best. Number 3 has something very tranquil about the way the water is swirling at the base of the falls.

Love the 1st, 4ht, and 5th shots. I agree with Heinrich about 2nd and 3rd shots though, perhaps a bit too light.
