Welcome Renita. I would suggest posting your question in the Troubleshooting or DSLR (Kr section) section of the forum, you will get a better response there. Beyond that you will find a plethora of Pentax knowledge here so enjoy.

I purchased this printer at this deal / price last time and highly suggest it to everyone. I will say it is a very big printer so be aware but the performance, results and price you cannot beat.
Be careful Geomez, the card starts to lose value after a set amount of time. I believe it is somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 months American Express starts to charge you a monthly fee for not using it.

That's pointing out the obvious. I do not believe Pentageek was trying to say the 16-85 goes to focal length 135 and out performs the 18-135 at that focal length. If you do not agree with someone (for the record I like the 18-135 better and think it is a better lens than the 16-85 but would not say the 16-85 is terrible from 86-135 because it does not cover that focal length) you do not have to point out the obvious in a condescending way to prove your point.
I would say there is no reason to own both. I would suggest keeping the 18-135 as I think it is an amazing all around lens and since you are not concerned with lens size the 18-135 seems like the best choice for you.

I do not pay attention to member labels too much but noticed the gold / silver medals and stars. What do they represent? I know the trophy is for site supporters but what are the gold / silver medals and star medals? Just curious.

Hyundai recently (starting 2017) broke off the Genesis badge into their own brand (e.g. Hyundai -> Genesis, Toyota -> Lexus) and released the G80 and G90. I love the car very much. Extremely luxurious, comfortable, huge trunk space, very spacious interior, leather and wood everywhere, smooth ride, powerful, amazing aesthetics, great standard and optional options list, overall great value. The only con I have is the gas mileage but I expected that when I opted for the 5.0L V8 model.

Hello and welcome,
You are definitely correct, this forum can greatly help you with information about your next possible camera. I just purchased a barely used K3ii from another forum member among many lenses. Do not hesitate to ask many questions. Good luck!

Welcome. Definitely would have been nice to have your old "good" glass. That's one reason why I love Pentax so much, backwards compatibility and I truly believe they have some of the best lenses ever made. You'll find a treasure trove of Pentax information on here. Also check out the marketplace, a lot of good deals on old and new glass. Enjoy!!

Figured I couldn't go wrong with Sandisk Extreme, especially since the new Extreme Plus was on a huge sale over the weekend.

Thank you for the info. I figured the K5ii won't max out those speeds but never hurts have a fast card. I was just concerned about possible compatibility issues since the U3 cards were made after the K5ii came out.
When you say consistency do you mean much more consistent speeds when the camera is writing to the card?

This is really good to hear as I have/use many of the same photo editing software you do and I have also been hesitant to upgrade to 10 even tho it's free. I will read the rest of the thread but any updates after using 10 for a while?

I just purchased an Astromaster telescope as I want to get into some astronomy. Anyone here taken that up as a hobby? I live in a highly populated area of the Bay Area, CA so lighting is a huge problem but I would still like to try it out. Has anyone tried attaching their camera to their telescope for some planetary photography? How did it turn out?

The Pentax DA 10-17 FishEye does not give my photos a professional polish but it is so much fun to shoot with that I would purchase it immediately again. As for the professional polish it would be the F 28mm. I am on a budget so for the price I think you cannot beat the quality of the F 28mm.

I give a thumbs up for OnOne (Perfect Effects 8). I use that add on with Photoshop and I love it. Photoshop was expensive, although you can now do the Adobe Creative Cloud. I believe Adobe CC can go as low as 10$ per month and maybe even less if you choose only Photoshop or only Lightroom.
If you want to go the completely free route I would suggest GIMP. I have heard many good things about it and have tried it but definitely not all of the options.
As for a computer, you really can't go wrong with most run-of-the-mill computers. I use a PC so I cannot speak for Macs but any new PC will most likely have an i3, i4, or i5 processor and any of those will be fine for basic photo editing.
