I'm changing up my secondary camera system. This little guy has served me well. In great condition, minor marks (not deep scratches just surface level) on the rear screen but nothing that impacts performance. Probably 2000 clicks on it. This is a whole kit. Comes with loads of extras including:
1 Set of Viltrox extension tubes
1 RRS base plate
1 aquapac waterproof bag (never used)
1 Lowepro camera bag
1 thumb grip
2 Wasabi Power batter packs (4 batteries total, 2 used and 2 new unopened)
1 Fuji battery
1 Power2000 battery (unopened) (that's 6 total in the whole package)
1 16-50 lens
original box, materials, strap, etc.
Pics 1-4 are the x-A1 kit. Pic 5 is an example of the IQ, which I love.

We'd just had one of those nothing arguments that arise from the constant vibrations of the road coming through our seats and a long day trapped between four doors and a windshield. A misunderstanding that grew from nothing into something like the clouds over the Arizona desert where we pulled off the road to see some petrified remains of a long ago forest. And as we stretched our legs and watched the sun set, marveling at the sheer scope of history displayed around us, the clouds opened up in a soft, healing rain and I took a number of pictures like this and I loved her more than anything else in the world. We returned to the car, cooled, soothed, and thankful for one another.

I've got two mint Yongnuo 560 I need to move. Great but don't fit my current kit. Used for under 200 shots. The little plastic is still on the screens of both if that gives you any sense of how pristine these are.
Includes case and stands as shown. I have the boxes somewhere but haven't found them yet. Selling as a set, two for the price of one.

Item Description
My last Pentax lens. Strangely, it was one of my most used but also the one with the most troubles. Asking $175 shipped. It's being sold as is.
Pentax DA* 16-50mm SDM- Good little performer. Glass and body are clean. Comes with box, bag, manuals.
The troubles:
• The motor is going out and needs to switched to screwdrive. I can get it to wake up if I play with it and then it'll work all day but needs to be switched for reliability and convenience's sake.
• Also, there appears to be a little decentering on the right side of the images. I never noticed because I shot it f/8-f/11 most often, but testing it at 16mm f/2.8, focused to infinity, it's pretty obvious. Probably rules this out from being a lens you create large prints from, but I got some good shots out of it. See samples below for why I didn't notice.

Another vote for the f2.8 DA macro. I've only had crop sensors, if that matters.
It's one of my favorite lenses and one I'll never be able to let go of. For me, I really like the rendering and I find it to be so versatile that it's often the choice if I'm going with a single lens setup for a day/trip.
I've had the FA, didn't actually like it. My copy felt slow and I just didn't find the images as pleasing. If forced to choose, I'd rather grab the DA35 2.4 for the $ savings and comparable IQ.

So for sure the environment is not helping you. Shooting wide open gets light but you'd have a better chance of catching in focus if the DOF was wider. I notice that sometimes Pentaxes don't like monocolor (black or white) focus targets. It may be hunting. Have you tried setting it to underexpose by 2/3 a step? You can recover quite a bit from the RAW and that may save you some ISO. And a k-50 still shoots really nice shots at 1600 ISO.
To add to @Ekip 's settings above, I would also try to put it on manual focus, find a place you know the target will be, switch to burst mode, and shoot a burst as the target is moving into that focus spot. It'd help if you had a monopod and could just set up and not move.

Yeah, too many factors involved here for anyone to be able to say one way or another without more info. When you post the photos, include the EXIF data or just label them with your settings. It could be your expectations, it could be technique, it could be settings, it could be lens focus calibration, etc. The K50 isn't a sports workhorse, but it's also a perfectly capable camera, so there will be a solution to this.
Out of curiosity, what do you consider to be 'so high' for the shutter speed?
EDIT: looks like we were all thinking the same thing and typing at the same time.

Damn. I'd known that was the case in the past but I thought this workaround was newer and potentially a cure as a result of some diligent code work or a new firmware edition. I wouldn't put anything past the users we've got on here.
Thankfully none of my lenses are dead (yet), I just wanted to see how they performed w/out SDM.
