I was out at the lake and saw dozens of Tree Swallows zooming a few inches above the water snatching up bugs! These little suckers were hard to catch. They were fast!!! :)

On November 3rd, Godzilla turned 65 years old. This is my little 3.5 inch (9 cm) figure with a glow stick stuck in its mouth. The "explosion" is a cotton ball. :D

I recently visited Myakka State Park in Florida; a beautiful place with a lot of wildlife. I came across three Sandhill Cranes about 35 ft (10 m) away and stopped to take a few shots as they're fairly rare. These birds seemed to have no fear of me and were very curious. When they saw me they started walking right in my direction, and ended up coming to within a few feet of me. They're fairly large birds, and came up to about my shoulder when standing near me. It was a wonderful experience.

We had just finished getting pounded by a snow storm that left a foot and a half of snow (45 cm) and I was pleasantly surprised when the clouds cleared enough to get some eclipse shots. It was around midnight and ten below zero (-23 C). There was a lot of shivering, but it was worth it. Super = a "super moon." Blood = the red when the eclipse is total. Wolf = January's moon is the "Wolf Moon." :)
