I have an issue with my K200D when using either integral or hotshoe flash where after dialling in negative flash compensation the camera will not revert back when dialling back to zero compensation, the photos remain under exposed due to lack of flash even though compensation value now reads 0.0. After approx 10 or more photos the camera fixes itself. Checked ALL other settings between photos and nothing has changed except the flash compensation figure.
Any one else experienced this problem or know of a fix.

Thanks for the reply which appears to answer my query.
I don't have the sharpness turned up so I think the issue is as you describe where the camera loads the image and then sharpens up to the final version a second or two later.
Now I know what it is, I can live with it.:)

Can anyone shed some ideas on this. When viewing on my K200D monitor the picture comes up looking OK then display changes to show small bright areas after approx 2 seconds, like lots of small pixels in the brighter areas.
The option to show bright/dark areas is switched off in the menu so it's not that.
Does anyone else get this and is there any fix?;)

Decided to join the Pentax forum as there are always questions to ask and things to learn.
Started DSLRing with a K100D + 18-55 + 80-200 twin kit which I bought on holiday in the Carribean as the price was very good compared to back home.
Since upgraded to a K200D.
