Thank you. Using the macro is quite addictive. Its great to be able to just go out in the garden and find lots of opportunities in even the smallest patch of grass. Pretty tricky too though. I find myself wanting an external flash to get enough light and faster reflexes to work the manual focus :)

Shooting spiders in the garden. I got the 35 limited this spring (my first macro) and have not had that many opportunities to try to shoot macro but it's a lot of fun. First one is natural light and the others are with the pop-up flash. The third one is of the 2nd spiders nest and features a curious ant. The last one was shot after using the garden hose on the mist setting. Perhaps a bit too many droplets? They are all hand-held I used manual focus. I've done some tweaking in iPhoto and cropped. All are shot in jpeg as my computer doesn't fare well with raw images. Hope you enjoy.

Hi Michael, thank you and no, no extra light. The sun was quite high in the sky so most of the light hitting the face is reflected of rocks and the sea. //Johan

Local artist (originally from Brazil) displaying his skills. He has decorated a number of sites around my neighborhood and I really like his work. Perhaps I should go around and make a series of his work. Could be a fun project.

Nice series. Especially like no 6 and no 11. It's funny how I like no 6 so more than no 7 (not that it´s bad at all). Goes to show how less is more sometimes :)

Thanks for sharing. I like the third one especially and keep scrolling back to it. There is some sort of action and story perceived in it and I like the background.

I like the shot and the light. Well done. However, I don't feel the crop worked well. I would suggest to stay away from the knee if you want to crop.

Very nice shot. Well done. I wish I had a bigger screen so I could get an even better view. The horizon appear tilted but I suppose it's an effect from using the wide angle?
