To biz-engineer.
The videos that you posted are from "The Angry Photographer" a known Fuji fanboi and Sony hater.
Most of his opinions are based on poor analysis , half truths and even lies. Except for his fellow Sony haters he is considered a joke.He has even been threatened with legal action following false information he stated about a Sony professional photographer.
You Tube is full of video reviews of the Sony A7iii from highly regarded sources and almost all agree that for the price it is a great full frame camera, and compares very well against much more expensive offerings .

To all those who are thinking of getting the A7iii, you will not be disappointed. It is as good as they say.
Taken with the FE 24-105 G OSS f4. jpeg ooc.
A heavy crop of that photo.

Visited the Lao New Year celebrations at our local Buddhist temple at the weekend. Always good for some excellent photo opportunities and warm friendly people.
It was also my first real chance to try out my new camera.
These are all ooc jpegs with just small amounts of editing.
There are alot more photos on my Zenfolio page. Thanks for looking.Any comments welcome.

As they don't have any Pentax equipment listed I did a price comparison check on several Canon and Nikon cameras. In every case Digital Camera Warehouse were cheaper.

This thread seems to be dying a bit since the K1 came out. So I'll do my bit to keep it going...........
On Sunday 23rd there was a Lao New year celebration at a small local Buddhist Monastery. It was a very colourful and happy event, hundreds of smiling cheerful people.

Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
I used to like Tony and his reviews, I even have one of his books in e-form.
In his 2nd Video he is using charts he says he got from the french website spd.io. I cannot for the life of me find any such website. All i find is a reference to Tony's websites.
The site he is claiming to have tested Pentax lenses have charts that have DXO on them. If they are DXO charts were they from testing the lenses on a K1.
I would have thought that if you are going to make a professional review of anything you would make sure that you have all your facts correct.
It would seem that when reviewing cameras these days the only thing to worry about is that the camera can track fast moving objects and the lens used is perfectly sharp across the frame at all apertures.
Ability to have any lens stabilized.............not important
GPS and astrotracking...........not important
Fully weatherproof body.............not important
Ability to use slow shutter speeds on non stabilized lenses...........not important.

If I heard him correctly I think the most important statement was from CR kennedy. He said that once the current stock is sold it will be approx. 3 months until they get any more stock due to the very high global demand.

I very much doubt if that is the case.
I received my K3 pre order 10 days before the official launch in Sydney.
When all of the doubters and CRK knockers were complaining about a possible delay in deliveries I posted the above message in the Pentax Australia K1 Launch thread.
It seems I am vindicated :lol::lol:

Where can I find out about this minimum statutory warranty period?
I have searched the government websites and cannot find any mention of a minimum period. Only that consumers have certain guarantees regardless of a Manufacturers warranty.

I'll be going, but I can't afford to buy one. I was hoping that they might give one away, like they did when they launched the K3.

As no one seems to want to guess I may as well tell you. The 1st photo was taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ1000.

It looks like you were the only one willing to take a guess. I'll give you another clue. The 2nd camera is not aps-c.

Thanks to pjv,Sailor and slowpez for your kind comments.
These were taken at the Thirlmere Festival of Steam. An annual event that also included Traction engines, model steam engines and an old car exhibition.
It was a very hot day, 36 degrees C and very crowded. It was sometimes hard to get decent shots due to the amount of people around.

Thank you for having a guess pjv, but the 2nd one is the K3. I'll give you a clue......the 1st one is not Pentax.

Very unscientific, but two photos taken minutes apart on 2 different cameras both handheld. One is from a Pentax K3, anyone care to guess the 2nd camera?
