I plan to send it out, i just wonder if its normal for Kodachrome to seem so... full in the canister.

I found an exposed roll of Kodachrome today and turned the spindle to hear how it rolled and make sure it wasnt siezed or anything and i heard a little grinding sound that then stopped. It also felt much fuller than a roll of kodak gold 400 with the same number of exposures.

My question is, is it worth it to send it to dwaynes? Or should i just keep the exposed roll laying around as a reminder of the old days? Also, was Kodachrome thicker than other films?

On my super program and k1000 i cleaned both fairly well using rubbing alcohol on a qtip, the trick was to flip the qtip around immediately after wiping with the alcolol and dry it. i did it a few months ago. For me it took a few dry qtips to get any stray moisture left over off.

Why does the number of aperture blades matter?

The M50 does have a few bits of dust under the elements, but other than that its in good shape, the A50 is in perfect condition, not one piece of dust under an element, not a scratch, so i can see how it might preform better.

I found something weird in my shooting, i dont know if its just the optics or the blades but i compared the sharpness of a few of my lenses and found my A 50mm 1:1.4 was much sharper (8 blades) than both my DAL 18-55 (kit lens) and a M 50mm 1:2 (both with 6 blades)

I did shots at all kinds of apertures and found the images to look better with the 8 blade lens.

I was looking around at one of the threads here about lenses with 15 aperture blades or more and began wondering how much that matters. Does it affect image quality or just bokeh?
