Nass - I use E-Photozine Digital camera reviews, photography techniques, photography gallery and photography forums , The Independant Photographers Forum http://www.tipf.org.uk/ , Pentax Forums - Pentax User Photography Forums and this one.
The TIPF is a very friendly forum, more like a bunch of mates having a chat, with no-one trying to get one up on the next chap.
E-Photozine is useful for checking out other peoples work, some of which are outstanding.
And the Pentax User is.....well, a Pentax forum!

Some of them I use the name of Jacobite, others Huey Slick and I think I'm Lucky Lee on a forum somewhere!

Tuner - I WILL get some images posted soon!

I've been listening to a bit of a mixture of albums over the last few days on my drive in to work:

Best of Blondie.
Best Ska (especially The Specials, Bad Manners and Madness).
The Proclaimers.
The Pipes and Drums of the Royal Scots Greys.
A CD of Gaelic songs of the 1745 Jacobite Rising.....can't understand a word they are saying but it sounds good!

I've found this to be a very good forum indeed.
I'm a member of some other photo forums and found that there are 4 that strike a good balance for me.

Thanks for the comments.

I think that the line/s are down to the lighting. To be honest, I can't recall seeing them in the original RAW image.
It certainly isn't spillage as that is......OK, was, an unopened bottle.

Hi All,

Just found this forum, although I've been a Pentax user for about 4 years.

I've a K200D with a few lenses, including a couple of prime manual lenses I've just purchased.

Apart from photography my other hobbies include:
Collecting Scottish swords, dirks and targs as well as WW1 Canadian & British Army medals and Vietnam War memorabilia.

This is my first attempt at a still-life.
I placed a piece of white card against the wall, put the whisky (my only non-single malt bottle) on a footstall and aimed an angle-poise lamp towards the card.
