Didn't see anywhere like this to get the RX100/G9/G7 users together!
Have been very pleased with my old RX100M1, and now have replaced it with a G9X Mark II. Not a replacement for a larger camera, but better than a phone and pocketable!
Let's see how it gets on...

I went for an E-M5, Pany 12-32, Oly 25/1.8, Oly 45/1.8 and Oly 40-150R as I felt this was the best value for money way of getting a compact, fast 24-300mm equiv in m43. Having acquired, and then subsequently sold, the 12/2, 11-22 4/3rds, 12-40 Pro and 50-200 4/3rds, I am still very happy with my kit. Next up is the tiny 9-18mm, but it would be my most expensive lens!

Rondec, lovely shots but they all seem a bit soft to me? Have you got the sharpening turned way down on your K1/RAW processor?

Heard good things about the Rokinon 10mm, and you could get it in K mount and mount it on your K-1 (in APS-C mode)?
I'd also like to try out the SLR Magic 8mm and Laowa 7.5mm...

Pany 12-32 is not at all bad, sharp in the centre but weaker in the corners; best at about f/4 or so. It's main forte however is that it is tiny!
Here's a poor technical example, but I like it anyway: OMD54358 by Rob O, on Flickr

Some free camera shake!
Oly 7-14/2.8 is undoubtedly great, but very big for m43. Maybe the 9-18 is the sweet spot for size/IQ/width?
PS Pany 7-14/4 is quite a bit smaller, but has a reputation for 'purple blob syndrome' on Olympus bodies...

Might be worth a trip if it's close, but thought it was fairly mediocre to be honest. We might like different things though...!

Rather than clog up the Micro Four Thirds thread, thought I'd put a few photos of my recent trip to Mallorca here. It was a family holiday, so these photos were just taken whilst out and about!

Grateful for any comment!
I have decided to get rid of the fantastic 12-40 zoom - if I am going to carry something like that, might as well go for an A7, or a K-1! Returned to my tiny primes and 12-32 as I don't resent carrying them...

No doubt it is a sharp lens, and aside from zoom vs prime, but hard to believe it is sharper than a half-decent 50mm at say, f/8?

I think at f/5.6-11ish you'd be hard pushed to see a big difference across most decent 50mm primes? They all seem to be pretty decent once stopped down in my experience... ---------- Post added 2017-08-11 at 17:33 ---------- Although I'd always recommend the DA*55!
