i would go for the 77 if you want something for portraits. It can't really be beaten. edit: (well it can, but not by the 16-50 anyway)
i would be tempted to say that if you pointed the 16-50 at someone they would get a little intimidated. the 77 doesn't do that- and it has extra reach, and the extra speed.
i think that da15, fa31,fa77 would be a good kit.
your legs can zoom between these.
they would probably all fit into the same space as a single 16-50 and give much better images too.
thats just my opinion though.

In case you hadn't noticed, there are people having a proper discussion here, and that would be a shame to stop. The obvious policy to employ is remove the selfish people spoiling everyone else's fun.
If I were a moderator I would have already banned you from this thread.
Unfortunately I don't think there are any patrolling around right now.

i don't see any problem with this. if it means that Pentax will start doing lens rebates then everyones a winner.
you just have to wait for the rebates.
from what ned said about expanding etc, hopefully we can be expecting more stuff and more support etc, so wheres the problem?

I just think if there was a FF camera then more people would come into the brand at Aps-c because there is an upgrade path open to them if they may want it in a few years. It also shows that Pentax is a committed brand- they can produce the high end products- and that will provide reassurance to the consumer that the product is high quality also. I suppose that the 645d does this already to a cirtain extent, but there is such a gap between the two price wise that people could just think they are completely devorced from each other.
A whole range of cameras would inspire more people into Pentax. If they release a FF then there will be a more complete line up than most of the other brands (obv minus the lenses etc but they would come in time)

by that image i would suppose that there won't be an adapter.
Its too deep in my opinion. i would have preferred something thinner. its not very much thinner than my K-r.
using a mirror and putting the sensor where the pentaprism would normally be would have been a nice option. doesn't look like they took that approach though. would that still qualify it as a mirrorless?
