I have a K100D Super & just tried it. It comes up with exposure settings & a relative exposure number (flashing -3 in my darkish predawn room). So it appears it does have a meter. I didn't know it did that!

No modification to color setting beyond setting the camera to 'Bright'. But she was out on the wharf at 5:00am!

Experiment or no, I'm impressed. Light trails of planes - I think you've spawned a bunch of Pentax cameras hanging around airports after dark!

Glad the K5 is working well.
I'll be interested in how the DA18-135 turns out for you. I too am contemplating a walk-about lens with more reach than the kit DA18-55 & had also narrowed it down to the DA18-135 and the Sigma 18-250. I'm not sure though if the extra reach of the Sigma justifies the $250 premium it carries in my part of the planet.

Was going through some old images taken back when I first got my K100DS & pulled this one out. Taken out my back door so to speak. :rolleyes:
Shot at 150mm with a 30+ yr old Vivitar.
Hope you enjoy it.

This is a 360 pano put together from shots taken last summer. It was a single row of shots taken hand-held standing on top of a rock, but perhaps should have been two rows since 18mm was barely able to get both the mountain top & hikers into the frame.

Very rare indeed. However, at the kid's last sporting event, I saw only five other DSLRs in a sea of P&S. Counting me, it was Pentax 4, Canikon 2. Go figure.
