Thanks for all the help! I think I will go with the k-5. It will just take a bit longer buy it. I think the k-x takes some great baseball pictures, but the auto-foucs is a let down sometimes. As far as lenses go, what are the best options. So far I have the pentax 55-200 and that sure isn't good enough for the night time games. Thanks!

Thanks for the help! Most of the time it will be daytime, but every now and then a game drifts in to the evening. As far as lenses, I have the 55-200, but I definitely think I need a lens that can stop down further.
To respond to getting clobbered on the side-line, I will be getting nailed with baseballs as often as the base coaches do....hardly ever....haha
I won't need an awful lot of reach, since I will be shooting from say, 1st or third base-ish to the plate. Thanks again for the help!

I currently have a kx, and am looking to upgrade. It feels a bit small in the hand, and I will need two bodies this summer, and the kx will serve as a back-up. I will be shooping little league baseball, what camera is the best choice. I will be shooting from on field at the sidelines, any lens recommendations? thanks

Like I said before, any cc is welcome. Specifically, what do i need to do to get rid of the motion blur in the 3rd pic of the sequence?

Ok, well this was the end of my visiting this site. I thought that possibly someone was also looking for this same set up could lend me a hand in finding a better price than I have. I HAVE looked for the past week, but keep stumbling across threads on here that say they found it for lower. My bad for asking a question. And the making fun of Americans is just out of line, no need for that in a camera forum. I'm sure you can find some America bashing forum to go spam up with your useless posts. Thanks to those of you that helped.

I did, and can't find the k-x with kit lens for under 490.00. I see people saying the found it for 460.00 and lower. So just looking for a little help. So if anyone knows where I can snag one for a good price let me know. Thanks.

What is the best price on the k-x with kit lens, and or with the 50-200 lens?. I am deciding between those two combos and purchasing today. Thanks For the help!

I'm looking for a k-x, this will be my first dslr purchase. I have used a film slr for a while. Where is the best place right now, price-wise, to look for one? I found one at Primocamera.com that is 469.99 with the kit lens, has anyone used this site before? Also wondering if I should go with the kit lens or just buy the body and get a lens or two off of the for sale forums here. Opinions welcome and thanks!
