Holy crap, that was a hell of a Game 6 for the Stars. And how fitting of captain Morrow, who get screwed with a no-goal call in game 5, to put it away for the win...IN THE 4TH OT! And both goalies played probably the best games of their careers last night, neither of them deserved to lose it. Thank god, I didn't have any classes today and my final isn't until 7pm!

So, I'll eat my words about the Avs and Canadiens. Props to Flyers and Red Wings (I still hate them ) for showing up. I was close about the Penguins, only off by 1 game. None of that matters though, because I called the Stars victory in 6!!!

We're off the Western Conference Finals against Detroit (did i mention that I hate them)!

So, now it's time for predictions of who takes it to the Stanley Cup Finals! All 4 teams have played great hockey so this will be guaranteed to be a great round.

My picks:
Pens over Flyers in 6.
STARS over Detroit (HATE EM!) in 6...no 7...no 6. yea, 6. Let's keep this 6 game series victory thing going!

Let's hear ya'lls picks!

Commercial for what? refs admitting what? I think I missed something.

On the other hand, Stars won! Morrow really stepped up as the captain and Modano delivered as well. Definitely a much closer match than the Ducks were and the Stars didn't even appear to play their best. I'm hoping for more wins! And the return of Zubov would be nice as well. :D

Hence, why I had Avs in 7. If they pull their heads out of you know where for the first period, they could really demoralize the Wings.

Also, was it just me or did the Joe sound amazingly quite in the second? What's up with that hockeytown fans?

I can't wait for the Stars game tonight. I'm flipping out!

WOOHOO! Stars pull off the upset on those Ducky thugs! Say hello to round 2 boys!

So Round 2 is shaping up.
In the West, the Stars, Avs, and Wings have already advanced and just waiting on the Sharks/Flames final. If Sharks win, it'll be Wings vs. Avs and Stars vs. Sharks. If Flames win, it'll be Wings vs. Flames and Stars vs. Avs. Either way, they are both going to be great series!
In the East, the Penguins and Rangers have advanced and are waiting on the Canadeins/Bruins as well as Capitals/Flyers. Won't they hurry up already!

I've got Stanley Cup Fever and am ready for my boys to take on the next challenger! GO STARS!

I'm glad the Rangers lost just because of Avery's antics. I was hoping for Brodeur to just knock him out with his stick.

That hit was brutal! But I'm so glad the Sharks lost. I hate them so much. Moreso though when Owen Nolan was on them. He put a major, dirty hit on a Stars player several years back that really injured him (i forgot who though). Maybe my hatred needs to follow Owen Nolan?

Well there's always next year as long as the Canucks build a solid team and stop relying on Luongo.

What? A CA resident not cheering for the SUCKS? It can't be!

Well before the playoffs, the games that I have been able to catch are fairly limited since I'm a college student. Mostly if I decide to go out to catch it or find an internet stream. From what I have seen, he is starting mesh really well with our style of play and becoming an important playmaker. Somewhat of a second Modano if you will. I was very skeptic when he arrived because we traded away several notable players and, other than his first game, didn't appear to be contributing much. However, his role has developed and works very well with the enhancing the productivity of the line he is on. This helps take a load off some of the other leaders/playmakers. He's turned into a fairly advantageous acquisition and I hope his contribution will help take us to another long-awaited Cup as he did in Tampa Bay.

How's Mike Smith, Jokinen, and Halpern working out for ya'll? I was annoyed that they traded away Smith because he's got a promising future and it never hurts to have a solid backup. Same with the other 2 as well but you have to make sacrifices i guess.

Yea, a Stars playoff run doesn't feel the same without playing the Oilers somewhere along the line.

Na na na na na na ha ha ha ha ha ha. :p Just messing with ya, but the Stars have been great for Dallas. Having a pro-hockey team is awesome. Sorry it came at the expense of ya'll not having a team for a decade.

If I remember right, the Flyers won today. So that's lookin up for them.

So I'm sure I'm not the only hockey fan here so who are you rooting for!

Living in Dallas, there is only one choice. GO STARS! Opeing a case of waterboy goodness on the Ducks over the first 2 games has been a godsend after the last several years. Here's to 2 more Dallas wins and the demise of the Duck goons!

As much as my small college budget allows, I do enjoy bourbon a good bourbon. I really like Maker's Mark but it's a little on the pricey side and just doesn't quite provide the subtle bite I like. I've had Jim Beam and have sworn it off as crap, even converted my dad away from it. No, my choice is the reasonable Buffalo Trace. Sure, there's better but for the price and my situation it works out great for me.

I'm honestly not sure. I would think adidas wouldn't be so stupid and I think Beckenbauer probably would. I never saw Beckenbauer play as I'm only 20 but I've heard he was amazing.

So my old adidas Kaiser 5s crapped out on me. I figured i'd give them an honorary photgraphic sendoff along with welcoming my new adidas adiPURE cleats. Both shot with K10D and F 50/1.7. C&C welcome!

Your site looks really good but i have a few suggestions. As deadwolf said, the highlight on the mouseover of the site links is very bright. Try a shade of gray, it'll be easier on the eyes and stick with the black/grayscale theme of your sight. Second, keep the background for each page the same. The black background for the front page looks fine but when you click to say "equipment" and get that criss-cross background, it just doesn't flow. Third, how about try the double-lined border from your equipment page on the home page. One border around the site links and another around the slideshow. It would help keep the eyes from wondering around too much. Those are just my suggestions, give em a try and see what you think.

What if they are hinting at a new Foveon 1.5x crop sensor that Pentax contracted and hasn't been announced yet? Assuming the same photosite density as the existing 14 MP sensor, that would make it around 15.3MP, which is indeed higher than all have suggested so far.

Isn't fun to make wild guesses and spread rumors! :D

I personally have the F version and i find it a fantastic lens. The sharpness is pretty good wide open and is great after stopping down. The autofocus works fine althought i often finding myself manual focusing it to get the effect i want. It's an awesome all around lens. I have a couple of pictures in the gallery taken with it if you want to see. Keep in mind those were taken with no changes in the in-camera jpg and before i started using RAW only and are also reduced in size. If you want to see full size, just pm me.

K10D problem or memory card issue?

Hope your able to recover those images. I personally am using a Kingston ultimate 120x 2g card. It's been tested as fast as both sandisk and lexar pro cards and is reasonably priced. No matter which brand, I'd suggest getting 2 2g cards instead of one 4g.

They were both shot in natural jpeg with no adjustments as i haven't tooled around too much with it yet, but i've got plenty of rainy days to mess around somemore.

On the first one, i realize i left too much empty space at the top.

The second one really pops because of the gray background IMO.
