They reckon that thu time hazcome,
ta lay yah cards face down,
an' stand for whatyahold in hand,
or look an bloody clown!
From gentle mines-trations,
a-wispered from the west,
I ventured back ta join yas,
ta do me bloody best.
The internet did hold me,
at bay for quite a while,
we'd lost the rotten bugger,
and that did make me smile..
until in my frustrations,
occasionally I went,
to were until quite recent like,
some time I often spent.
I did try to get back on,
but to my own chagrin
Achilles never knew the rub,
I'd let a trojan in!
so many dollars later,
the interent is back
and New Year all awaits us,
an' I'll be bloody back.

:(Like Sandy said...who knows...I've cracked a couple. Seems like every now and then a shot from the heart seems to pull a chord somewhere in Flikr. Maybe the time and effort, maybe the moment...who knows?
Still haven't made the bloody Pentax Premier Premium Bestest thingy though.....sigh:mad:.....i'll keep trying!

Back with a former sheila from a previous challenge, the Vivitar 28-85mm f3.5-4.5 macro:eek::cool:. Never thought of it in the bucket sense before:confused:, so I'll give it a floggin' for a month.
Few old faces I see in the lineup, but one good mate not here....he'll be watchin' I'm bloody sure. Hang in there old china!;):rolleyes:

Well this is a bloody great month eh!
People getting pandemonium (get well soon fellas), and me vanished in the ether! Somewhere in space..the final frontier!
I'm thinking this month is a no go...have taken some shots yet to be posted...but!
Ran out of water, so $400 later might get by, fix the bore bore pump 85m down, another $3600, hmmmmm......halfway to a decent camera really!
Sorry cobbers, but this month is a disaster..will do what I can when I can, but my poker hand at the moment means, time to fold.
And the fires so far have been north, east and south of us, not by much...but thankfully enough!
P.S. Elvis came by yesterday, and dropped heaps of water on a fire 2km south of the sawmill, very impressive, but bugger me, no camera. (Read humungous helicopter that picks up 9000 litres [9 tonne] in one hit and dumps!)

Well bugger me!
More silly galahs than ya can poke a stick at...if ya had the energy! (That many interested eh?)
Another challenge eh? Nearly opted for the 35mm Tak I cleaned up a few days (taking over several months) ago, but I reckon after one or two months at the wider end, I might need a change.
So....REPRISE!
The Sigma 28-80 Macro I first used way back in September 2010, the first Single challenge. I've learned a bit since then, from all the jibber jabber from you bods (read: excellent feedback and constructive help), and reckon itz bloody bonzer ta join you bunch of drongos for another month (read: couldn't be happier to participate again!)

Bloody singles challenges!
Just had a horror month, bit like the Somme really, and now another bugger!

Me, I've busted me bloody boiler, and sitting on the side of the road! There's a hole int the bugger about 2" wide letting the steam out
....but I've got this 24mm Hanimex (Ham'n'eggs) that might plug the leak!
Used it once in the anything goes December challenge a year ago...but not since!
So, if it works I'm in! Yaz can stick ya red bits! Noice Catolic colour now!

There's more bloody shooters here this month than in a John Wayne movie...with Indians!
I'm stugglin' ta bloody keep up with me..let alone the rest of you bludgers! Bloody marvelous!
Some really really good stuff coming out of us now, and the strange thing, makes me want to try harder and better, so the challenge works ...eh?
Just a note to let you know, I'm looking, but comments may not always be forthcoming post haste!
Aside...stayed up too late last night, watching a movie on tele...300 (hadn't seen it before)! Much preferred the 1962 version, The 300 Spartans, with Richard Egan I think. Those were the days, men in short dresses, glistening muscles, uhmm....oooops! Give us another bloody beer mate...in the closet...!

Bugger me...not bloody sure if it's the hot lemons or the Chivas shandied with Tullamore Dew! I'm in again, might as well see the ruddy year out .too cobbers! Hung for a sheep and all that!
I still have my SiS album from last year on PF, so will probably have to name this one SiS 2011 since we are goin' 'round again. Or I could rename the old one Sep 2010? Any thoughts.
Might go with the kit lense (never used it yet after 18 months) like Tim used a month ago. Just to see, then again the M50 1.7 hasn't been used for a while, don't know.

Well, it's over for me and all us Aussies! And yeah...little time for comment on everyone's contributions.
The group was split this month between thread links and PF albums (some had both), but I tried to concentrate on the traditional album, and even then, have missed a lot!
Next month maybe the daily thread will work! I don't know! The Single challenge thing seems to be expanding heaps in popularity..and so it should. Since September I've learned more about fiddling this and that, than in all previous years beforehand! And about the discipline and intuition needed to take a shot by restricting oneself to a single focal point of view!
How??...from advice, input, and comments from all the fellas involved!
Well done all, and sorry anyone not yet visited often enough by me. I still luvyzall!

We really are a mottly crew, with cameras in our hands,
'coz peace we spread among us all, from every wide far land.
Stillshunter put a challenge out, 12 days of Yuletide fair,
and asked us all to join him, if anyone would dare!
So fellas from around the world, did answer to the quest,
in sleet, or snow, or searing heat, we'de show our very best.
Of Christmas in our country wide, and what it means to us,
the little things that we all see, without the bloody fuss!
Of smiles on children's faces, a'waiting for that day,
