I think moving from K-x to K-30 was an upgrade. K-30 beats K-x in every situation imo.

I bought Blackrapid RS-5 for my K-30 and I love it. Doesn't feel like you're carrying 1 kg on your shoulder. It's also surprizingly quick to point and shoot. I got the Optech for my K-x, nothing wrong with that one either.

I have Transcend class 10 card at the moment, so I think that is not the issue - Your should work as well. I think getting Sandisk class 10 would be waste of money at this point... the problem must be somewhere else...

I've had similar issues with K-x if the card class has been too slow. Never had any problems with class 10 memory cards.

I´ve been using K-x for a little over two years now. Now I´m waiting for my preordered K-30 to arrive, K-x will still remain as a second frame on active use. I´ve been very happy with K-x performance, main reasons for a little upgrade are better AF and weather sealing. Also, I´ve been sneaking around here "stealth" for a long time and this is my first post here. So hello everyone!
