Thanks tonyzoc for these great pointers! Any idea about how to get the rubber cap off without destroying it?

Super Program disassembly

After more than 10 years, I have still not dared to disassemble the Super Program.

Now my camera interest is revived so wanted to give it a go again.

I have already managed to get the mode selector switch off, and the rewind assembly that remains seems very similar to ME super in its construction and thus easy to remove.

If I could just get the advance lever off i believe that it would be easy to remove the top plate and get access to where i need to clean.

This picture clearly shows where the rubber thing on top of the advance lever has been mounted with some adhesive. Now I could get a blade in there and pry it off, but i don't want to do that.

Does anyone have experience of dealing with adhesives on old cameras? Maybe some heat applied would get it to come loose in a non destructive way.

The power cord a connects the motor drive a to battery back a, that is correct. Definitely should be albe to build one but to track down an original one would be much sweeter :)

Will post an ad on the wanted forum.

Thanks!

ISO for daylight shooting wide open F1.4

I dont agree. I want to know which ISO-speed gives me opportunity to use F1.4 in full sun with my camera shutter speed ranging from 4s-1/2000s.

Is there film under ISO100 (i.e. 32 or 64) on the market?

Maybe i have to use a ND filter though cause of the fast shutter speed required.

I think i used F4 cause it's the max aperture on the lens. I used 4x EF-compensation as well. Shutter speed i have no idea. Thanks!

It looks great! Another question; How to achieve "bubble-like" backgrounds? Where the bokeh gets really circular?

I like the demo of the lens correction tool. I am thinking of downloading it and evalute it. Where can i find a trial version? And do you think there will be any profiles available for my old manual lenses?

I might use my fish-eye for some funny looking pictures, or my superzoom 28-200mm for versatility.

I just bought an 50mm SMC-A 1.4 on eBay. I have owned both the 2.0 and 1.7 versions but sold them both to buy this one.

Is there a big difference in bokeh on these lenses? Do the 0.3 stop make any difference? I was buying it to get really blurry backgrounds.

Perhaps someone has any sample images?

Had to retouch the image cause it had some blown out highlights, but the result was very satisfying.
