Is it time to ditch the SD card concept?

An SD card is in fact an SSD, the difference is the connection to the microprocessor.
A PC SSD has Sata or PIC or PCI express connection to the mother board.

Clutter and noise did not help the picture in the PPG.
Its needs to be perfect in every way. Cropping might help for the clutter but in makes the noise worse.

But this does not mean the picture is rubish.

Thx all for your input.

I'm not a weddingfotographer its my first one. I made 4 different photos from the rings. this pic was a bit unusual thats why I posted it here. maybe wise to post the other pics aswel.

The reason parts off the lowest ring were left of was because the picture is made on a mirror. The double image off both rings was distracting and not nice at all.

The color is a bit daring the other shots are from the more romantic typ.

I see beatifull pictures, but being good is not good enough, you should do better then others in the same category.
Keep on trying, check out your favorite category and see what gets selected.

What lens should Pentax make/remake?

for me the FA 200/4 macro and the FA 400/5.6. There is no need to remake them just take them in production again.

Not bad! The skin could have a bit more red.

What I don't get is why iso 400 iff you have 1/2000 sec.

The lower the iso the better.

Ho Do I Improve The Colors in this Photo?

A splendid shot! you can feel the special mood off that particular moment! wonderfull.

If you take a close look at your picture you will notice that the dark parts have no detail anymore. So best is to take the shot again with a fill in flash or wit a bit more light. Of course you can never make the same snapshot. If you have the original (best in Raw) you can correct a lot.

This is the same picture just lightened the shadows in CS3

Macro light setup & reflections - help!

My tips.

- close your lighttent on the front side also, make a hole just big enough for your lens.

- Using non reflectif black paper.

- make sure you camera is not lit, not by the lamps but also not by other like the room light.

- check your metering, your black is just not black enough. Try a manuel setting and do your metering by trial and error.

Good shot, love to see this one in colour.

Compo is ok but would love to see it taken a bit more to the left.

Great shot! Fantastic!!

Her missing face is no problem it ads drama to the picture.
Minor point probably sligtly better if her feet were on the image completely.

How strange it may sound for these kind off shots its best to have all your af points in use. Otherwise your AF will hunt between the bird and the background.

Search for a background with low contrast, low evening light works fine. If you shoot against the sky you should aply a correction. Spotmetering is also not good average is better. You just will not be able to keep the centerpoint on the bird therfore ist best to use all af points and have average metering.

happy hunting
