FA 43mm Ltd to replace F50mm f1.7

My bad, the 43 and 77 is of course possible (but shots will be very up close....which my friends are not too fond of it =P)

Economic point of view, getting the FA ltds either 2nd hand (even non-riduculous first hand price), you could always sell it off at price or even higher in the future.

Even if there's a need to drop price, the lost will not be too great.

FA 43mm Ltd to replace F50mm f1.7

I have the Tamron 17-50, FA43, and recently acquired FA77

I would really love to have the FA43 up as long as possible, but I tend to have the 17-50 because shooting across a dinning table is simply not possible with the 43.

I also manage to have the M 50 1.7 as well, the OOF area is somewhat creamier than the FA43.

In my experience the 43 OOF area only looks good (IMO) with certain backgrounds, but i just can't stop using it!

The FA Ltds are really my #1 reason going into Pentax system, hence the recent acquire of the FA77( which I really dont need) but for the sake of experiencing the magic

My first walkaround with the K5, I had almost shoot everyshot EV-1 and below.

I find this gives better black , colors and details.

Somehow I find EV 0 a little over exposed.

Faulty SD card or dodgy K-x ?

This is something new :O

I have problem with kingston SD card (weirdly my first kingston card works fine, maybe happen to later batches) on the K-x, randomly it will say memory card is full, and the picture is a blank saying camera could not view the picture. Load it up into the computer, it would just be a corrupted picture.

Had a swap at kingston service centre, and it still happened. Pretty annoying.

Actually doesnt this sound more like a Ricoh GXR w/K mount?

Maybe they have just transferred and combine the two system together, and Ricoh had already got this GXR out for quite sometime.

1)Full frame, direct competitor/equivilant with 5DMkII, is what I hope from Pentax, no point going high end competiting with 1Ds when there is 645D.

2)mirrorless or with mirror with body ME, MX alike in K-Mount. APS-C or whatever sensor.

If they come out these 2 camera. I WILL BUY THEM BOTH (together with my coming soon K-5 and old K-x and ME SE)

I can't wait till end of month when my friend comes back and bring me back the K5.

Screw the potential problems, focusing issue, shutter issue, button issue, just give me the damn K5.

And early-Happy Birthday to twitch !!

What sort of problems does the K5 has that needs packing it back?

I'm sure I'll be getting a K5 coming 2 weeks but I'm not personally there to test it so now I'm worried :(

DA limited 40mm vs FA43mm which one to get

Definitely FA43 if you can afford.

The DA40 do win hands down with size, but FF compatibility of FA43, IQ, and F1.9 when you need it, sharp wide open, and its legacy worth all it takes.

My only regret is I only have 1 camera body or I would have got a silver version of it too.

K1000*SE

According to the pentax master wiki page, K1000 SE has brown and regular black-chrome.

And also from this site, I've look through several SE versions (ME, ME Super, K1000), the SE is only differred by diagnol split prism and maybe brown leatherette. Thats all.

Well pentax do like to create Special Editions, Limited stuff without much difference actually. Maybe this is what make it actually 'special' and interesting :D

I could not guarantee my choice at first, but I remember Canon tends to get the color red a bit over the top and smudges the details.

Pentax might look flat but it retains details that we should be seeing

Had a thread previously in whether to acquire the ME SE, well now its bought and delivered. Can't be happier !!!

Mounted with FA43 with M50 1.7 by the side.

Pentax should really create a DSLR body similar to the ME with K-mount. Everytime I press the shutter of the ME, I always thought how brilliant if I can review at the back of the camera.

Ah, I think I didnt mention about my K-x + FA43 and etc.

Lenses are not what I'm looking for, but a classic SLR body.

I'm just wondering if the ME SE would still be considered a collectible and worth something
