3 years wouldn't be soon, but I would still be interested. I'm sure I'll still be shooting with Pentax gear in 3 years.

Ball head recommendation

Really Big Cameras is where I bought mine. I got the PC-33NS, because I wanted the lightest setup possible. I haven't noticed any lack of smoothness with mine, but so far I have only used it with my Sigma DP1. I also have a Markins Q3 that is a very nice ballhead, but I don't think I would buy it if I had it to do over, because the panning lock doesn't really work. There is a lot of slippage, which makes it annoying to use. When I talked to Markins about this, they said it was a feature to prevent damage.

Really Big Cameras answered my emails immediately and shipped promptly, as did Markins.

I recently bought a Photo Clam ballhead and I'm very impressed with it. I think it compares very favorably with Markins, but much cheaper. It's definately worth considering.

The seller has posted some at Nikonians, mostly about the Photo Clam ballheads that he sells. He seems honest from what I have read.

K10d problems- please help

I just got my K10D back from Pentax for back focus issues. I've sent it in twice in 2008. The first time I sent my 31 mm lens in with the camera. My lens checked out ok, and they supposedly adjusted the focus, but it didn't help. I knew my lens was OK, because I took it to Wolf Camera and tried it on their body and the focus was perfect, but they requested that I send them my lens. So I sent my camera in again and it focuses much better now. It only has a slight back focus. I sent photos showing the focus problem with my camera both times and even included comparison photos with the camera body from Wolf.

The Konica Minolta NP-400 batteries are only $9.95 at B&H. (They were originally $49.95) They work great, and I can't tell any difference compared to the Pentax batteries.

I just called them to confirm this price and they said it is correct even if the picture is not right. They said they sold the last one yesterday, but would have more in soon and the price would be $699.99.
