Thanks, I'll try AE first, but if anything I'll have to dig out the cd's and see if that helps. Thanks again for responding.

I'm on windows trying to drop them into premiere, I've tried most of the premiere project presets to make sure I wasn't just using the wrong project settings, but none seem to work. All I get is the audio. I tried finding a codec but I'm not sure I completely understand how to install new codecs, or if that's even the right answer to this problem.

Anyone know how to successfully do this? I can't import correctly, i just get audio. I read somewhere that it might be a problem with CS5 being 64 bit, but I can't find an explanation on how to work with that.

The HDR timelapses look almost otherworldly, very cool stuff.

I would love to see someone do this with the k-7 or k-x. I would if i could afford a second k-x and all the other equipment.

Can i hook my K-x up to my laptop and use my laptop as a remote shutter release?
Sorry if this is a 'noob' question.

I've always thought MJPEG looked great. I mean every codec has it's problems still, but MJPEG does a great job in my opinion.

Damn, you apparently can't admit to making a simple mistake on this forum without being inadvertently called retarded.

The real problem is that if you don't click down far enough you engage the pre recording autofocus function, which makes the shutter open and close, so when you're going quick you might not notice that you didn't actually start recording.

I had the same problem, but now I tend to make sure i'm recording before hand. But i do wish it would just record on first click every time.

I picked up a K1000 at a goodwill with a 50mm Pentax-A lens on it. I later realized that the focus ring is broken, so i'm basically wondering if anyone know how i would go about fixing this lens, or should i just get a new one? I picked it up for $40. Also anyone know of a good place to find older lenses other than ebay?
Also I tried the lens for kicks on my K-x and my K-x wouldn't take a photo. The F stop spot on the screen just kept flashing in any mode i was in.
Thanks for any help/advice.

How much better would you say?
In my opinion, I hardly get results that justify the bigger file size, the * mode gives almost just as good results and almost twice the recording time.

Yeah like some of the movement was a bit choppy, which could be the result of many different things like card speed, or encoding and such.

The second one was good, although it might have been just me, but on some shots the frame rate seemed off. It might have been your sd card speed, or as i said might just be me.

I've only tested it in the K-x, so i'm not sure about the k-7.

Yeah in large blocks of color such as the sky you can see some difference, but really 1 star does a fantastic job a lot of the time.

@jogiba
The TM-700 is a nice camcorder, definitely better than most other consumer cams right now. Almost pro-sumer with it's features.
