metz 50 AF-1 or Pentax AF-360 FGZ or Sigma EF610 DG

I'm in the market for a mid range flash, I tried to get away with a cheap flash unit from Bower but I could't live with its limitations and quirks.

So I'm looking at metz 50 AF-1 or Pentax AF-360 FGZ or Sigma EF610 DG as my next option. The one main feature I want is wireless p-ttl which I believe all three support and I think I can live without a swivel head (360fgz is lacking).

I'm looking for people opinions of what they think of all three. I've read all the reviews and I can't decide. I'm looking for use the flash primarily for indoor shooting and some light portrait work

I'm using a K7.

Issue with Sigma 18-250mm OS HSM

When I uploaded the video to YouTube the high pitch sound is gone! It must be the way the sound is compressed.

I've tried it with the OS on and off on both the camera and lens. I thought the benefit of the HSM is a faster quieter focus.

Issue with Sigma 18-250mm OS HSM

I just got this lens from BH Photo a few days ago, and I've noticed that its very slow at focusing compared to my other two non HSM lenses a Pentax 18-55 and a Tamron 28-105. Its about 2x slower going from one end of the focus range to the other, and along the way produces a high pitched whine. I'm wondering what other people experienced with this lens.

I'm thinking I have a bum lens and may exchange it for another one.

:(

I'm looking to upgrade my starter lenses with a single zoom lens. I've seen several and I was wondering if there is a particular one that stands out against the rest.

These are the lenses I'm currently considering:

Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC Aspherical (IF) Lens
Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM Autofocus Zoom Lens
Pentax SMC DA 18-135mm F/3.5-5.6 ED AL (IF) DC WR Lens
Tamron Zoom 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di-II LD Aspherical (IF) Macro Lens

I'd be replacing a Tamron 28-105mm AF f/4-5.6, a Tamron 80-210mm AF f/4.5-5.6, and a Sigma 70-150 f/3.5 MF. I generally use the 28-105 the most as it covers a good range, but I find myself wishing it was wider and had longer reach. I have around $500.

Thanks

This is my first photo posting with my very new K7, I picked up this cheap Amcam 28mm f2.8 from eBay, and I'm pleasantly surprised by the results.

I picked up a cheap lens on ebay, its marked MULTI-COATED JAPAN/525 Amcam 28W 1:2.8 f=28mm, K Mount. It feels like a well made lens but I can't find any other information. This is probably a re-branded lens. Does anyone know any tell more about it?

The image of the 18-55mm was taken with the Amcam lens

I'm Varian, I just ordered my first DSLR camera the K7 and I cant wait to get it. My friends all wanted me to get a Canon or a Nikon and I went with the K7 as I thought it was the best all around camera for my budget. I hope to have a lot of fun with my new camera. Thanks everyone.
