Its all my lenses....the DA18-55mm, 55-300mm, and a Tamron 90mm macro. I did clean the contacts and check again....still no luck.
Perhaps something wrong with the camera itself? Never had this problem before.

Hi,
I'm wondering if someone could help me solve the AF issue I'm having on my K-x. Basically, the camera will not AF regardless of what settings or lens I use. I even tried changing batteries.
On my screen I see the letters "MF" near the battery indicator as well as in the viewfinder near the ISO display. The little switch on the side has been set to "AF" but no luck. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Thank you for the comments. I quite enjoyed the B&W shot myself. I'll play around with the rest some more to see if I can make them better. And yes, they do need some more work.

So I took a trip to Banff a few weeks ago and thought I'd share some of the more decent shots with you all. Out of the over 500 shots I took I consider these worth showing. The rest are....not so good. I'll start off with a couple of panoramas (my first attempt at doing this) and then you can see the rest of them. This was my first trip to Banff and I have to say that it was a lot of fun. Comments are appreciated.
And then I tried doing this in monochrome...
There are a few more I'd like to show but I'll leave those for another thread. Thanks for watching!

Thought I should do something about this one....took this on Canada Day. Waaaaay out of focus. But there is something I like about this photo. Which partly explains why I haven't trashed it yet. |

Here are a couple of shots I took and turned into B&W. I guess I just want to know if it 'works' for you guys. Technical feedback is welcome, but so is anything else that might be worth sharing about these images. I'm still learning, so please don't beat the cr*p out of me. :o
Alright, here goes...
One thing that does bother me about the second shot is the parallel road on the left. I tried to crop it away as much as I could but this is the best I could come up with. So, what do you think?

Thanks gebco!
Nah, wasn't me then. Spent all day yesterday at Assiniboine Park. Weather wasn't the greatest but the K-x sure was. Now that you mention it, I should head down to the Forks next weekend.

Yes, that's right! Winnipeg! And just for the record, I love this place!:D
So I've just purchased a K-x along with the 18-55 and 55-300 lens and am looking forward to putting it through its paces. Hopefully it wont disappoint! It shouldn't, right? Because its a Pentax! I guess I'll soon find out.
I'd also like to mention that this site was a very useful resource when I was shopping around for a new camera and it greatly influenced my decision to go for the K-x. So thanks to the PentaxForums community. Much appreciated.
Anyway, I'll go back to playing with my new baby. She seems to be calling out to me.
See ya folks around.
