Well the only photos I took with my Pentax cameras in March were real estate and ski photos. The real estate ones are nothing special so it's back to skiing, lol.
This is very similar to the previous month's favorite with the same skier and even the same run! Slightly better conditions this March day which ended up being one of the season's best ski days with its mix of sun, fresh snow, and cold temps that kept the snow skiing well. The sparkles in the air were the icing on the cake!

I like the balloon shots and that lens has a very nice rendering.
The do a little festival here too on the 4th of July. I've only shot smaller formats for it before but maybe this year I'll get some MF captures. Agreed about the time of day!

Thanks! I like it very much. I had a 50r for a while and it was also nice but without SR or a tilting screen which are both very useful features to me.
I was eyeing the 100s as well but after having some images from the 50r printed very large (and looking great) I figured I could save some money and get the 50sII. That would also make my current computer last a little longer with the more manageable file sizes.
I was able to flip the 50r and upgrade to the 50sII for about $1000 at KEH which has been a worthwhile upgrade.

Yeah that's the spring snow pattern for sure. The morning snow was pretty firm down low where it has thawed and refrozen.
You still might post-hole here without skis or snowshoes but in the next couple of weeks it will transform completely and be like concrete in the mornings.
That is when the corn snow skiing gets really good!

Another ski shot for February. My friend Josh on a recent powder day at Crested Butte.
My long time jacket I've used to carry my camera had a zipper failure so I used the DA 40 (instead of my usual 20-40) so I could carry it in a different jacket. Worked fine but I wish it was WR for this use.

Well now that the dust has settled a bit here's another Fuji photo. :)
I took my kit out on an evening xc ski. I didn't get as far as I was hoping before the light faded so this was what I was able to reach.
