Lovely mellow, rich feel to this one, mate :-) ---------- Post added 03-28-24 at 08:35 PM ---------- I guess I don't need to tell you where this was taken!
Top of the picture is a multi-image stack over about 90 minutes. That was then combined with some low ISO frames - including to extend the scene at the bottom, so it's a pano of sorts, made easy by the use of a shift lens.

Thanks! Too bad about your local balloon festival. They really are fantastic for photography. There aren't many other big public events that just happen to take place during the best time of day for photography (IMO) - sunrise. I'm lucky that my parents live in a town with a big event each year at the end of August, and I can time my visits to overlap. I've attended for many years. It's not nearly as big as the one in Albuquerque, but I think there were around 50 balloons last year - more than enough to keep me busy once the burners start lighting up, running around to catch the best angles.
I've never been up in a balloon myself, but I did help out on the chase team for this crew, years ago. It's always good to see them coming back year after year. |

I love mixing motion and stillness. I was lucky that all four people were pretty static as the train entered Westminster Underground Station...

Sunday View from Propylaea, Königsplatz (Kings Square), to Obelisk, Munich
From left to right: Glyptothek, my footbike in the foreground (half left side), Brienner Straße and Obelisk in the distance, on the right Staatliche Antikensammlung.
Four horizontal images stitched in Capture One Pro. My 10 stop ND filter wasn't enough to let vanish people fully, each shot 1.3 seconds. Some ghosts are visible. 3:1 pano crop. |

Thanks. In the beginning I really thought that the Lumix S1R would continue to be my main camera. I got the GFX 50s ii mostly because it was so affordable used and because I just wanted to see how much of a difference there was over Full Frame. So many YouTubers complained about how slow, big, and heavy it was but I was already used to shooting with the K1. I fell in love with the system for what I do. It is a significant upgrade in image quality and all my clients noticed right away which actually surprised me. The AF really isn't that bad especially when using the 110. Yes the 80 can be a bit sluggish for sure. I barely use my Lumix cameras anymore except for video.
