Felix Eventus - a happy accident ! -- But a v. nice one. Keep in mind that you created the image and when your done (by accident or not) you have decided the completeness of that image. Saw a pentax used by a pro at a winetasting a few weeks ago - I gushed and spent some time with her. Nice seeing a pro shoot other than Canikon. -- T

Thank you MPrince - Additionally,I feel its the image. MY image. I work very hard to discourage lurkers who try to steal my images from my website. And I dont have the time to notice what other photogs around me are shooting (I already know the probably shoot Nikons or Canons) If, however, I saw a Hasselblad or Pentax 645D I'd be very curious!!

I use Kx with tamron 18-200 lens with lens hood for convenience. I use a mac and a simple iphoto PP system. It relieves me of all the worries expressed. To me it's the result ,not the equipment that counts most. For the price, convenience of use, aa batteries, weight, and in-camera shake reduction, lens compatibilities, ease of use, the Kx fits my needs perfectly.
I dont think you are expecting too much.
If you are a PRO then you have a high end camera/lenses costing thousands. The little KX with a little PP will almost match most photo situations. HAVE FUN WITH THE KX. --- Tony/ HVL, CA

it's a kit lens and I was a big point and shoot fan but I noticed that if I really concentrated on keeping the camera still when I snapped the photo problems you show would happen very often. I also had much better results on auto with a tripod (anti-shake off) - lots of good advice here. If you bought your camera at a camera shop and let them help you. If not then, keep shooting, have fun and expect things to improve. Betcha' it will!!!!

There is enough info available for any potential camera purchaser to buy a K-x or not. If you want something thats not available with that model you can easily buy a different Pentax, a Canon, Nikon, Dslr, point and shoot -- whatever. Plenty of choices. Different price points. More or less features. I happen to enjoy the K-x and am having FUN with it. I'll upgrade perhaps in a few years when technology takes a step or two and give the camera and lenses to someone who might appreciate it. I'll still have choices to make and no camera will be exactly what I want, I'm sure. If the K-x was going to be the last camera I will ever own I'd might choose differently. Maybe not. I'll keep it as long as it's fun and produces for me.

Also a newbie to K-x and love the camera - I bought a Tamron 18-200 ans their 55-300 and they are fine in bright light.(I primarily shoot landscapes and use the result as a "Underpainting" printed on watercolor paper for my finished pastels. So, true exactness of color isnt normally important to me. I might get a older manual 1.8 50mm for indoor uses. I dont know what you will use your pics for but if they all are as good as the Sunglasses in your example you will come up with some good ideas from this forum. What helps me is that most folks include good info about the shot submitted like, camera, lens , exposure etc. - HAVE FUN and keep posting your work - thanks - Tony
