The last week at Lake Constance was very cold and the winds created some nice ice formations in Romanshorn.

123 lightframes, each 60 seconds with ISO 1250. After that, I took 9 darkframes with the same settings and stitched everything with DeepSkyStacker.

I got my DFA WR yesterday. It feels and looks like a limited and it's very sharp. Great lens! :)
This is one of my first tests with the K-7 and ISO 1600. |

The new design looks great with all three colors! Good work! My favorite color of the three choices is #2.

This is a great idea. I inserted all my serials - except one. It is a Beroflex 300mm f4 and I cannot find any information about this lens online. Can somebody help me? How should I add this item to the database? |

I used AWB and RAW => the only color was red. In Photoshop I set the white balance of the RAW image to the leaves of a tree. That's all :)

Hello!
This shot I took on sunday. It was a warm sunny day und it is my first non-testing infrared photography with the K-7. Trough the viewfinder I could not see anything (I adjusted the camera without filter) and with manual focus all the images were blurry. So I switched to AF-S... and the AF was able to get the focus right in less than a second. This is really great :)
I used an Hoya R72 filter and in photoshop I changed the red und blue channel to get a dark blue sky.
Greetings,
Jens

Hello everybody!
Yesterday I tried to take some pictures of switzerland. Everything looked so near. But i needed to long to drive home and the great view changed to a dark storm :(. I had two choices: go home or risk to get wet and take shots of the clouds - so I choosed the second option and got wet .
It was too bright and my old 58mm ND-filters don't fit onto the lens and it was impossible for me to get long exposures for lightings. A few times I tried to shoot lightings by pressing the shutter when I see a lighting, but this does not work.
Here you can see two results: The panorama is stitched from 7 images @ 18mm in Autopano Pro and the boat is a tonemapped RAW (Photomatix). If you like to see a larger version of the panorama, you can click this link: http://img7.abload.de/img/sturmwolken7ug4.jpg

The song fits great into the video and the timelapses are the best I've ever seen!

Hello!
Yesterday I planned to test the image quality of long exposures of the night sky, but a few minutes before I go out, clouds covered most of the stars
So I walked around and took some other long exposure night shots. On the first you can see a concrete walkpath and after that a shipping pier of the Lake Constance. The lights you can see in the background are city lights from switzerland.
In the second picture the house on the left was a bit underexposed and the right side was almost dark. In Photoshop I moved the exposure slider of the RAW to the most right position. So everything was much more brighter, but also extremly noisy :( Maybe I will try to edit it more detailed to reduce the noise.
Greetings
Jens

Thanks for your comment. In the picture with the road I hadn't enough space backwards or a to small wide angle lens. But next time, when I'm there, I will try to get the whole tree on the picture.

Hello!
I've bought the Pentax K-7 last week and these are my first non-testing photos. In comparison to my old Canon Powershot S3 the image quality is way much better.
At home I found out that the ISO is set to 400, so they were a bit noisy.
I would like to get some constructive critique to improve my photography skills. :)
Greetings,
Jens
