I'll give it more of a go tomorrow when I get back from my trip.
Just trying to give it my best efforts because the more I try on this, the better I will be at over coming the same issues with my own photos.
I just started to get into photography this year and just bought CS5 and lightroom last week, before that I've never touched a photo-shop program in my life

Heading out for a bit this evening, but this is what I was able to get in about 15 min or so going back and forth from CS5 to lightroom and vice verse
I adjusted the performers in "batches" because global adjustments of the colors would better some and harm others
The front 2 and the back 3
Edit: this was done using the DNG file only

Quick run through lightroom 3 (I just started to learn lightroom 1 week ago)
Used custom WB and used the drummers shirt as the neutral, then shifted the tint away from the green end.
I could do a bit more in CS5 on the colors, but it was a quicky

I absolutely love HDR.
These were produced from single RAW images, I couldn't afford to take up that much space using 3/5 shot bracketing on this trip

All fixed, A solder connection in the lens for that pin out had been slightly damaged, cleaned it up, re applied and she's good.
Tho, I all ready have been looking at the DA 16-45mm F4.0 to replace her

I jumped the pin outs on the camera and got it to work properly, so it looks like my kit lens is fubar-
I'll pop it open later today and see what I can find

I did look up the pin out on the lens and they all seem to be moving freely and making contact as far as one can tell.
I should clear the dial comment up a bit: The camera is stuck in Av mode when the dial is set to any other "auto" mode. The camera behaves as it should in Full manual, bulb and flash sync with the exception that I cant adjust the aperture setting in either mode.
I have that feeling that I missing some small silly detail......

one lens was my 1.4 50mm M and a kiron 28-210.
Yes, with with my kit lens also.
lens on, contacts cleaned well.
" for some reason your camera is not recognizing the A type"
Exactly, I even went as far as re-flashing
