I have this Tamron lens since years and I’m quite happy with the picture quality of the lens. Maybe a bit soft at 2.8.

The quality of the k5 sensor is much better than the k7. Have you thought to get a k3?

I see very interesting the 35 f/2 and the 28 f/2; but the 85 f/2.8 I don't see it really interesting. A lot of people has some fast zooms 70-200 / 50-135 and they have this focal covered.

Nevertheless, I think that the number of 16-50 and 50-135 is much higher than 200 and 300.

One question, my Pentax 16-50 f2.8 has two mechanism of AF: The SDM and the old one. Can you use your 50-135 lens with the old AF mechanism?

Hi,
thanks for your help.
I had a Pentax k10D, but now it's broken (shutter), and the reparation cost is relative expensive for a camera with four years, so I'm searching a new one, k10d, k20d or k7. I don't know what I'll do.
