The Sigma 50-500 OS has K-mount and should be better in image quality.
The 150-500OS K-mount is second choice.
There is also 150-500 non-OS version as cheaper alternative.
I owned a 50-500OS which I was happy with it, but note that all of these lenses are about 10 years old now.
Not suggest to get the Nikon mount, unless you are buying a Nikon camera.

Did some research few years ago while getting the rare early version.
Brown Pouch FA43 serial 1-16000 (1-16000 are only silver, don't remember if 16001-20000 comes with brown pouch or not, color is black / silver)
Green Pouch FA77 serial 1-5000 (black / silver)
Red Pouch FA31 serial 18000 - 21000 (black / silver)
The early version of FA43 and FA77 may also come with different coating (coating color is different)
FA31 Unknown.

a fair lens with FF sensor will be close to a nice lens with nice crop sensor
I will pick D800.
But, why not both.
I would not sell my Pentax gear for another brand.
I am still using Canon, Fuji, Sigma Camera.

Looking at the size, it does not look like a f2.8 wide angle lens.
Hopefully it can be f2.8, but hands down as f3.2

If they want to focus faster, they better get a lighter focusing group.
Hopefully, not a lot more of lenses and heavier weight.
