The DA 50 f1.8 is a stunning 50. I've got the M1.7, the M1.4, Russian 50's and 58s,a Vivitar 50 1.8. The DA 50 streets them all.

G'day Dewman, I bought this lens 3 years ago to shoot my grandson playing cricket and found it sharp and easy to handle. Those shots are on a drive somewhere??? So I took this shot today. It's fine. Sharp easy to focus using focus peaking @f5.6.This at minimum distance.

My research has me giving very serious thought to the Panasonic LF 1. Smaller than the LX 7, truly pocketable,same sensor, a VF for very bright days, no lens cap, 28-200 lens.
