If i totally understand that your answer to me is " it is normal" ?
What about the "Auto Pict " mode then?
Shoudn't it be independance from others mode?
How your K-x react in this case?

After one month using the K-x , i still have difficulties taking good photo with it,
Previousely used Nikon D40, Canon 1000D, 40D .
Especially the "metering " in K-x , it is totally different from Nikon and Canon.
In Nikon, whenever the metering changed in one mode will not effect the others, but, In Pentax K-x , it like this :
The default setting of "metering " in my kx is "Multi segment metering" for all modes : P, M,Av , Tv, Sv, Auto Pict .
Whenever i change the Multi segment to spot metering in "P" mode, the camera's automatically change other modes M, Av , Tv, Sv SCN, metering to " Spot metering ".
It this normal ? could you let me know is your camera react the same ?
Maybe some of you user can tell me , it this normal or my K-x having trouble?

I am sure it is made in China with rebranded name Horusbennu , Horusbennu is the korean rebrand name, where the Real Manufacturer is located in China , this Lens also selling under different brand likes : Phonix etc..
I know this by searching the net extensively before buy it , it printed "made in China at it body tooo.......
I have reasembly the Lens onece it arrived due to some dust inside the Lens , it is very very simple to reasembly it , what you need is an tiny cross head screw driver and a " plastic bottle cover with diameter slightly smaller than the filter tread and short length of double side tape" ! if you want to know how , can post here to ask !
The body is better than Auto Sears Lens because it is 100% made with metal !
The focusing ring is a bit tight compare to Pentax smc lense, the aparture is as good ( not too tight nor too loosy feeling )as Pentax smc !
The front Lens is somewhat over coated causing less transperacy compare to Pentax smc, but it is better in term of flare /glare resistance ability!
It come with K mount which made it easier to mount to Latest Pentax DSLR!
I have tested the focusing accuracy using my new KX , it need - 50 adjustment to be in focus! before adjustment it is front focus a bit!
If you want to know how to adjust the focus in KX , post here to ask !
I would 100% say or recomand any Pentax user to buy this Lense , weather
simply want to test or comparision , the reason is simply : First : is it cheap in price that woun't hurt your pocket ! second : it is full metal body , solid feeling and small size ! Third : It is New, you can't get a Brand new Pentax smc f1.7 now aday , could you ? forth : can resell easily ! if you find it not up to you expectation , sell it to otherspentaxian to test run, sound good isn't it ?:D
Thrust me ! I been through all stage of the above mention , i bought it , reasenbly it , tested it , got the output photo in my HDD and finally sold it with slightly lower price ! I must say that this is the rason why i takes photography as my hobby . the reasons are very very obvious !

Thanks Jeff and steve , both helpfull , i try your method by no lishening to the beep sound and follow my eye, it is working , but after numbers of shot i felt sick , my left were not able aligt to my right have to rest for almost an hour to come back to normal vision , scarely!:(, juz curiouse , pls tell me do yur close your left eye while your right eye is focusing through the view finder?
May be that method is not for me .
Steve , your link to the canon AF fine adjustmnet had lead to another page of Pentax k-x fine adjustment built in the kx , i follow that method and it is working , thanks a lot !
-the fine adjusment in kx is ready a gift to me , it allow fine tunning for lens so that the beep sound while the focus is right , now i no longer need to 100% depending on my right eye anymore , just "beep " and shoot ! happy now.
- for in fo : the Horubesnnu lens front focus for -120 ( waw , that is crazy !!:eek:, though correctable by KX inbuilt feaTURE!! I AM LUCKY TO HAVE KX.).
The Sears 50mm f1.7 front focus for -30 , that better but still need adjustment whenever i change betwwen lenses. that is bad.
Here more photo after adjustment in morning , cant wait to shot after wake up , juz now ! :D... enjoy and hope to communicate with both of you ! thanks a lot.

while taking shot with the above lens , i found that although the Pentax kx beeep to confirm the focus , it took blur ( out of focus , slightly front focus photo ) , i have to avoid the beep sound and turn the focus ring futher to be in focus , why ? any one here can help ? Info : i already set the focus point at the centre and all set to manual focus , there is no way the camera can select others focus point mean only mid point focus only .
-To futher confirm that the horusbennu 50mm f1.7 lens is front focus , i test auto focus using the includes kit len DAL 18-55mm , it focus rightly at the subject , any explaination ? Help pls !
-I test shot with the manual focus Sears 50mm f1.7 , it also so front focus as the Horusbennu, anyone experience shoter can help here?:(
