Beautiful lens and images (both here and on your Flickr page)! Your past posts on the ZK thread helped draw me to Zeiss...best of luck on the sale.

Great job! For some reason when I look at these the word "charming" comes to mind. So many unique images, I won't pick a favorite; well done on all of them!

I'm glad you posted this. Really cool shot! As you said, it's such a beautiful animal.
This really does have an artistic (and sort of spooky) look. Awesome picture!

Great job, especially under such hurried conditions. There are quite a few of these in the hills of central Texas, and their colors are certainly appealing. The roses in the background are great, and this would be a fantastic image if not for that fence, but that's obviously outside your control ;). Well done!

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
FA 77mm f/1.8 Limited Series Autofocus Lens Asking Price
$685.00 (Paypal and shipping included) Item Location
Texas (United States) Item Description
For sale is one of Pentax's best, the FA 77 Limited (in Silver).
I purchased it used from B&H, simply by chance as it was available when I got my K-7 a few years back. It made me say "ahhh" from the first shot, but its use, like it's name, has been limited, thus I am finally looking to pass it on to better hands (after literally months of deliberation).
The FA 77 needs no introduction, but this particular lens has some character worth mentioning. There is a small mark on one of the internal elements (shown in the third and fourth image below). Probably about 3 mm long, less than 1mm wide. It was there when I purchased it, and has remained the same over the 3+ years of ownership. I have seen absolutely zero impact on image quality, and can provide some full size shots at f/22 to confirm. Other than this mark, the rest of the glass is clean and clear and body is in excellent condition. The cap has a couple of small nicks on it, as shown in the image below. It's an early serial number, if that is of note to you. A beautiful lens, that creates beautiful images, especially in the right hands.
Sale includes the lens, and both caps (original front, a Pentax K-mount back, which could be an original). No pouch, no box.
Please PM me with any questions, comments or interest.

Much to my disappointment and annoyance, I took a look at my much beloved early edition FA 43 this morning and saw that it definitely has fungus:(. I do live in an area where the average humidity is around 80%, so this is not too surprising, although I've been successful in avoiding it thus far (through consistent use, and storage with dessicant packs in the least humid area in my home), and hoped my luck would continue.
My question is, what to do next? Given the time it took to find the lens, its value, and of course the joy I get from using it, I wish to save it if it's at all possible. Does anyone know of someone who can successfully rid the lens of fungus? Is this something I can send to Pentax to have resolved? It is on the back element, and appears to be quite advanced. Any help or suggestions on how I can ensure the lens remains usable would be greatly appreciated.

Fantastic images Heinrich! I especially like the Bluebirds, Horned Lark and Cliff Swallows.
I have a quick question: what is the ISO values for the Cliff Swallow and the Horned Lark images?
I use my K-7 for birding, and am considering finally upgrading to the K-5, but I wish to get more an idea of the improvement in IQ at the higher ISO values sometimes needed while birding. Thanks, and again, excellent work!

I really like this Smilesy. I'm not certain if it is the colours, the texture of the grass, or the fact that they all seem so very captivated by you, but I think you have good reason to be happy with the result. Well done!

I agree with slowpez above. Great set of images, and #2 and #3 are my favorites of the group. That eagle is spectacular, and the dust and dirt that the elephant seemingly thrust onto itself really makes for a great shot. Well done!

Nice shots! I especially like the second one. I enjoy birding, and the search can be a lot of fun (ideally without the mosquitoes, and especially when the reward is finding the bird). My K7 leaves a bit to be desired when I crank up the ISO in these types of situations, and I'm seriously considering finally upgrading to the K-5. It's great to get more confirmation that the K-5 appears to really be a step above in that area. Great captures!

My A-50mm 2.8 Macro. A lens I purchased early on. I rarely use it, but it never disappoints. Next on the list would probably be the K 135 2.5. The length is something I've never taken the time to get to use, but it's a beautiful lens that can produce great results.
