Yeah I purchased a UV filter but ill have to look into the cp. Are there any that you recommend?

Awesome ^^. Thanks for the sites. And yeah, I think I am going to try out the tamron 18-200 for a while as it should be the most convenient in the beginning. After I get better I will look into getting more expensive lenses.

Thank you all for the quick replies. Sorry to bug you all...but a couple more questions:
How much would a Pentax-DA 35mm f2.4 be if its a good deal?
Is there an ok tripod I can get for under $50?
Did I make a mistake by ordering the Tamron 18-200? I know the lens quality wont be as good although I didn't want to worry about changing my lens on vacation. Will it still give me quality shots?

Helllo,
Last summer I started getting in to photography all though I underwent some personal things and am just getting back into things. I have a pentax km with the kit lens and just ordered a tamron 18-200 as I wanted an all in one lens. I also have aperture. I will be taking photos of landscapes, cars, and cities (I am going to San Francisco this summer). I have a couple of questions though:
What are the best sites to for a beginner to learn?
In terms of lenses, should I get a cheap prime or just stick with what I have?
Is there anything else I should get that I can get on a budget? (ie. tripod, other lenses, etc.)
How long should I wait before upgrading to a kx or kr?
Thank you for the help and any other tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

Nope. Just did some slight tweaking in Aperture to increase the exposure

Yeah I've been shooting Raw and reading all the posts about Raw vs. JPEG but its still not clear to me which I should use

While its shiny the front of it is disgusting. If you take a 5 min drive by where I live your car will be covered with lovebugs from left to right. :(

Yeah we are also going to the zoo. The only reason we are doing the safari is because we got a deal on this VIP thing for the whole park and it comes with the Safari so we figured why not.
