Hi,
I have a Tamron AF 18-250mm 3,5-6,3 Di II LD ASL Macro which I have been happily using on my K20D for a year or so now.
Suddenly the other day as I was out shooting I was finding that it would not auto focus above a certain focal length (approx 100mm I found after testing). Below this the AF worked fine, above this the camera would just continually hunt and not lock on the target.
It still works fine in MF mode.
I've tested the body with the kits lens and these all work fine. I will try to test the Tamron on a GX-10 I have but this is currently out of action (some sort of battery issue).
Has anyone ever seen this with a lens or this lens before? Anything to try before I try to see if it is still covered and I can find my warranty etc?
Thanks

Hi,
I'm not new to Pentax, been using them for a few years now. I started with a Samsung GX-10 (a rebadged K10D), my brother bought a K10 at the same time and we swapped lenses happily.
About a year or so ago I upgraded to a K20D. I'm now looking at where to go next. I'd quite like to go FF frame or Medium format, but have become quite loyal to Pentax so still considering all options.
Typically I shoot in Raw (mostly on my Tamron 18-250mm) and convert to B&W using Lightroom.
I've only just found the forum and liked what I was reading so decided to jump in, and additionally I have a problem with my Tamron I was going to ask about in the lenses forum.
