Do you know if Autofocus in video can be implemented in the K-5ii in a future firmware update? or is it a hardware thing?

Hi, tanks for your feedback, I'm posting two photos, on both I used manual AF point and i am dead sure I did not focus on the background :S
i cannot get it to auto focus decently, I'm actually thinking of taking back to the store and replacing it with a sigma 18-250mm

any thoughts

hi

i just bought a brand new pentax 18-250mm and im really not impressed with the autofocus, i read very good reviews of the lens so i'm assuming there's something wrong. I'm getting terrible backfocus and subjects are blurred, does updating the firmware might help?

Thanks for all your replies, im a beginner, i just need to take some shots of my house to submit them to a magazine, will search on ebay for a pentax 14mm, i have a tripod so i won't take any hand hel shots, the 14mm from pentax is quite expensive though

excuse my questions i'm a bit of a beginner, does it make a big difference to have 100mm less on the telephoto? cause if not, as you said i would prefer to have the extra 20mm on the wideangle

What about the Sigma option? i heard a lot of people complaining about the quality of some sigma lenses, do you think its worth paying a bit for a pentax lens?

Hi

I'm looking to buy a new lens for my k100d, right now i have the bundle SMC Pentax 18-55mm and i'm looking to buy a telephoto lens to take shots of people from long distances and maybe some nature. I was looking into the Sigma 70-300mm, the Pentax 50-200mm or the Pentax 55-300mm (the later goes a bit beyond budget)

Does anybody have any of these lenses and maybe suggest how they compare?
