Hello!
I'm having trouble with focusing. Example - I photograph a person in a field using AF - set at SAF, adjust the spot focus indicator to where the person is & snap. But the person is never in focus, but the background always is. It has nothing to do with aperture or shutterspeed as they're at reasonable settings.
I have tried various lenses and its the same problem. If I focus in manual, it's in focus.
Even when I'm doing head and shoulder shots, the focus is not always correct. It will focus on maybe the neck, the face won't be in focus, and I am at a fair distance from the subject too. I'm really stressing out. Can I do some kind of in-camera setting to fix this?
If someone can please help me - I'd REALLY appreciate it.
I'm going to try the "Autofocus adjust", but the lenses that come with it, can they too be improved with the adjust method? I don't understand why a lens made for the camera needs adjusting. It's weird. But I DO have the same problem with the lenses that were made for the camera, plus my Tamron 17-50mm lens.
I have the camera set so I can focus with shutter speed & the AE button. Could that have anything to do with it? I feel like crying. I just want to be able to use my camera to focus correctly. Close ups are pretty ok - its full head to toe shots I'm having MAJOR problems with. It'll focus on the background and not my subject. BUT, focus on close-up is not right either, out of 5 shots took, about 3 will be in-correct focus. :-/ I even thought it might be MY eye sight & I had my brother take pics. Still, same problem.
Thank you.

Hi,
Will the LP160 flash head work on the hot shoe of my Samsung GX20 DSLR? I understand it would be manual settings.
Any help appreciated. THANK YOU!

Wait! Wait! Wait!
If I were to buy several Vivitar 283 flash heads (can they work with Samsung GX20?), could I use them ALL at once, to get them to flash exactly the same time? If so, how? These flash guns are SO cheap, and I have such a small budget. They would be perfect (I think?)
(Again, SO sorry for all the questions)

Also, can the Sigma EF 500 DG flash gun fit onto a light stand?

Thanks! After reading your advice, I'm now thinking of buying the Sigma EF 500 DG, but I was hoping you could answer these questions I have, before I buy.
1. If I bought two Sigma EF 500 DG flash guns to be used together, off-camera, would they fire a flash exactly the same time?
2. Could I use this flash gun as wireless straight away, or do I have to buy accessories in order to use wireless flash?
3. Can I use the flash in manual mode?
I'm REALLY sorry to ask so many questions, but I'm really NEW to this.
Thank you SO much for your help!

Hi,
I'm looking to buy one or two off camera flash guns as I can't afford to buy flash heads with battery pack, for my outdoor portraits. I need some advice because I don't know which flash guns work off camera with the Samsung GX20? I'm TOTALLY lost. Can someone please help me?? I need them to fire exactly the same time, too.
Would REALLY appreciate feedback :o) Thank you!

Hi,
I'm gonna take up live music photography, but haven't a CLUE which lens to choose for my Samsung GX20 camera? I definately need an auto focus lens - but I don't know which pentax lenses are auto focus? Can someone pleaase help guide me into the right direction. I don't have much of a budget, either.
Zillion thanks in advance.
