You can spend that 12 dollars by buying a good photography book than that worthless piece of junk. Even if it could be cleaned effortlessly that's not a good lens at all. It might only satisfy that you can reach 300 without spending much.

Now a days one can rent the lens and use it before deciding to buy, including the original brand lenses. For the matter of fact, except pros, most of us who have day jobs can rent the expensive lenses for the occasion and live by owning very few, may be one or two. The quality of lenses of third party providers have increased a lot but they might lose value rapidly i guess.

Any ideas on that lens which is supposed to be released after 2013 if it ever comes out? Will it be a sigma rebadged?
Cheers

I shot these pics at my native village. A little bit of careful post processing would make them even better though... |

Just out of curiosity, did anyone buy the 560mm lens yet? How good is it? Could post any pictures out of it?

Hi,
I need a little bit of suggestion here. I am not into any wedding photography. I was impressed by the reviews on Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 lens and kind of wanting to purchase it. I don't have any f2.8 lens as of now and my main interest lies in wildlife and nature photography. But when I reviewed my old photographs 70% of them were shot at 300mm (FA 100-300mm f4.7-5.6 lens & Sigma 70-300mm). So I am not sure if my desire for this lens is out of a need or because of the reviews and images I have seen from this glass and at affordable price. Is this focal length suitable for me??? Will I be happy at 200mm with an f2.8 despite shooting most of the time at 300mm???

Hello Together,
I want some suggestions. A bought a couple of lenses used over Amazon a year back which are over 300$.
Though they are not terribly bad performers, upon using similar first hand lenses of other Pentaxians it was clear that my used lenses are definitely inferior in image quality. This made me doubt that the used lenses may not be good performers and thats why they are sold off.
As many of you are frequently buying used lenses, did you ever come across such issue? How do you make sure that the used lens you are buying is a good copy instead?
Cheers

I have 3 sets of (4 AA) Eneloop batteries and the Sanyo MQN04E charger that came with the set.
The eneloops are of 1.2V, Min. 1900 mAh and the charger output is 2.4V, 250mA x 2(AA).
The problem is with the LED which always shows green. Even after plugging it for 2 days it shows green and there is no way to know if the batteries are charged or not.
Is the charger faulty? Should I change it?
How long does it take for this charged to recharge 4 AA eneloops which are completely depleted?
Cheers

I had to shoot small birth day party of my friend's kid. Once I got there I got to know he was hyperactive, the house was darker and I went there with only f4 max. aperture lens. Though it was informal, I was able to capture some very good pics of this guy.
Edit: the lens is FA 28-70mm f4 AL.
