The first video is an older one, I have commented on it before... he even blocked my youtube username from commenting on any videos. What a baby.
Anyway, I shoot Nikon and I think this guy is an embrassment to the Nikon Community.

Thats too bad, you probably just got one that had a bad/missing seal.
My K-7 and 18-55 WR went through a torrential downpour during an Iowa summer thunderstorm and worked perfectly afterwards.
Hope Pentax fixes you up, maybe they will get it done as warranty... who knows. They take pride in weather sealing.

Late to the party, but I like your assessment and since I got to use yours yesterday I can say its all true!
Its not fair because he MADE me shoot the K-5 with the FA 31.

Damn that looks sexy. I had a chance to get one off eBay from Japan... but I never did get it.
For truth though, I'd be much happier with the K-5 in silver if I was going to plunk down the change to get a limited run camera.

Nice, the Canon guy really was off base there. I can't believe how ignorant some people can be.

LOL thanks Rupert! They are a lot of fun and all the girls are great people off the track.
I think she means ADD as in attention deficit disorder (80D) as her number. :D

Inspired by Extravagrant's Derby photos, I thought I's share a few myself.
Hope you all enjoy! It's a blast to do these events!

Lol not sure what this means.
Most of the girls I know are angels off the track and all of them give back to the community. They do fund raisers, local events and don't make a dime.
They do it for free and for our entertainment. To me it's a place for them to feel strong and sexy, blow off some stress, but it's also a heck of a work out, these girls work hard!
Again I love the shots :)

Honestly, I don't know what I hate more. The question of the camera... or when someone compares their photos to yours and says something like "man, this is nothing like your professional camera, you just have to aim and you get it"
I had just got done shooting a derby and a guy came up and complimented me on my past photos (I post them to the team on their facebook site), which was very nice... but then he started comparing his point and shoot to my camera and how easy it is for me to get a shot with a professional camera. Don't get me wrong you need the right equipment to do the job, but over simplifying what you do really does irritate you sometimes.
I really was in no mood and tired... I just thanked him and walked on.

My girl works at the Lehi Fab. Its very cool. I work on robotics (Storage) similar to those in the video... I stress when I work on the ones I repair... I couldn't imaging working on these.

Its not about accepting anything subpar.
Bottom line you cannot even state you're 99% sure you didn't introduce it... because unless you're in a clean room like one at a microchip fab you aren't going to convince anyone of that figure. Any and all cameras will get dust on them the moment you take off the body cover and put on that lens. We do everything we can do minimize it, but don't be fooled into thinking anyone has a perfectly clean sensor, ever.
Regardless, you should already have/own cleaning materials for your cameras. "paying 30 bucks" should have already been an investment made in to standard maintenance items.
Like I said, I am not trying to get in a fight with you... I just find this a little over dramatic and I don't accept subpar either... but it needs to be a bit more out of control than what you're experiencing on this camera. I am OCD with my camera gear and to a fault a perfectionist, so I understand your frustration... but I do have my acceptable limits to certain things.
If its not remorse, then that's fine... I have been around a lot of people who spend a large chunk of change on something (whether or not they can afford it), and still feel guilty for spending so much money on it, trying to find any and all excuses to return the item. So that's why I thought it might be a reason.
Anyway, have a nice day and good luck with your fourth body. Let us know what you find when you get it. I do agree with you on the QC controls, as it seems its slipping a bit.

I did a double header Derby with a K-7 and a 50 1.7. It's very possible, especially when you get in the zone.
