How does one check for what reason they got rep point? I have 8, but I have no idea what caused those people to give me points. I can only see my most recent one, unless that one gave me 8 points alone.

I was going to semi-insult you which your reply very much deserved, but I'm not going to let this thread be closed by my disgust in your words. This thread is more important then that.
I must follow the words of Voltaire and hope you don't ever say something so silly again.

Thats fine, I understand that. But as we see already, the hispanic group (mainly mexicans) are being prioritized in this law. Justice is Blind, did we forget that?
This is the exact same thing that happens in airports with people who are muslim. All people of color understand why they are being stopped in airports, but many white people(not all) when stopped wish they could say "Why me? I'm White! Stop that guy over there!" But, for some retarded reason, we all accept that we should be treated like prisoners while inside an airport(different topic for another time).
The majority of people who post around this forum are White men who have never been treated prejudicially by authoritative powers in their life and can not relate in the least with the problems of the minorities. That is not to say that you guys here are racist, but that if you experienced what these people have then you would have different feelings about a law like this.
I get the feeling though that the people who vote today for the law in Arizona are the same people who would vote for Jim Crow 100 years ago and against women's suffrage. It's a different era and people can't afford to look like bigots now with the entire world watching them, but the intentions of this law are the same

Ok, then lets just call this law what it is, the Anti-Mexican law. To follow what you are saying, Police officers, not border patrol, need to concentrate almost all of the powers granted to them by harassing all illegal looking mexicans.
ALL people who have deep hispanic roots, despite being american citizens, will be hunted by police just because of their facial appearance.

What papers would I carry around the country I live legally in? Nothing...
I am a citizen of Puerto Rico and U.S. but when I am in both countries I carry neither papers of identification or anything like that, unless you count my Ralph's card

You know that they WILL do that, that's exactly why they are being given this power. You know this is a purely racist topic. Did you notice that the keywords above that poll was immigration,u-s, arizona, msnbc.com and MEXICO?
why Mexico? I thought Illegals were ANYBODY from ANY country in the world that isn't the US.

No, It's put in the worst possible way to make people think what the police will be doing is justifiable. Police will just look for one reason to stop "suspected immigrants" but really just use it to persecute them about their papers.
Police- Hey mexican your shoe's untied, show me your papers!

Didn't you see short circuit 2? Johhny 5 had a pretty short temper
[YT]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOfFgycK6fE&feature=related[/YT]
In this video, these two fine non-threatening white males put on ski masks, because most likely it was very cold, and accidently enter Johhny 5's garage thinking it was their home. then they project their love for the USA like any good American and then Johhny 5 savagely beats them. I can't have my kids grow up in a world like that! I believe toyota also produced the film short circuit 2, its like the Robot version of "Birth of a Nation"

I don't disdain digital. I LOVE that I can take photos and upload it to my computer in seconds. When I developed b&w in my room, it was a horribly messy ordeal that took a lot of time and money and my results weren't very consistent. But film is film, its everything digital tries to emulate. And who doesn't love the smell of film right out of the canister? :)
Yes Auto-focus is old and auto-exposure even older. I just mean that many people who like photography, or taking photos, don't see the pleasure in complete manual control over their camera. Alot of these people don't even know what aperture is! I still don't get why almost all lens made today don't have an aperture ring.
But a great photographer is a great photographer, film or digital, brand new camera or 100 year old camera

This is a Robot in japan made by Toyota. I believe they first unveiled this robot in 2007. It doesn't play the violin that great(although it can kick my ass), but you just know that in a few years its capabilities will be much more sophisticated.
I guess the people of Toyota haven't seen Terminator. Does this worry you guys in the least? maybe not right now, but in the near future? I understand making machines and all that, but why give them legs and arms??
Hopefully they will come with 6ft. extension cords.

Smoking something? Please don't try to feed your ego by trying to insult me or my experience.
If you would get off your high horse, then you would admit that at one point you were inexperienced, and all the things I described at one point happened to you. I was just trying to discuss that the happy mistakes and weird mishaps that happened to all of us when we first shot film is what made us become more immersed in our mediums, what made us want to understand what was happening and what caused us all to fall in love with this art form. These things don't happen with digital cameras, not with auto-white balance, auto exposure, auto-focus, auto blah blah blah.
You can't negate that RAW is a million times more forgiving in exposure then a film negative(although color print is more forgiving then slide). But I know exposure does matter, I still use my Minolta IV flashmeter everytime I go out to shoot :)

I was thinking something like this today while walking home.
when you shoot film, you realize that the film has a mind of its own. Sometime you get strange color-cast, double exposures, extreme shadows, heavy contrast, overly saturated colors, grain and so on. All these things is what makes film photography so subjective. It's impossible many times to go back to re-capture photos because for whatever reason, its just not the same.
In digital photography, especially when shooting RAW, you realize that your not taking a photo, you are just recording data. Every detail is exact, color temperatures can be changed with a button, you almost never have to worry about exposure because in RAW editor you can work around all of that. Now shooting photos is so objective, there's no uniqueness about it. It's only after photos are heavily edited that you start to make the photos your own and becomes more subjective in its look.
I dunno, maybe I'm just rambling. People who have never shot film won't understand me, but for those who have, think about it.

First, I wanna say that I fricking love this P&R forum. I hardly ever get to talk politics with people who have extremely distinct views as I do and are as vocal about it like the people who post here. In fact most people don't know or even care about politics in real life which is why its so cool that people here talk about it 24/7.
but everyone who has an elbow has an opinion and for the most part we all think our opinions are the correct ones which is where most of these fights manifest. But this is exactly what is wrong with politics, it divides people into hundred of factions so that everyone has some ideological enemy. I wish that we could all join forces and concentrate our will to fight and direct it towards the corrupt people in power who ruin each and all of our countries.

Ratmagiclady, I read a lot of your comments on this forum and I agree with you the majority of the time. This time I respectfully disagree.
The FED protects us from the Greedy and Powerful? The exact opposite.
We don't look like the rest of the world? We have 13 trillion dollar debt, which the republic of China is so very nicely paying off for us
Electing more of the same? Which president has ever declared his plans to end the Fed and dismantle the CIA and FBI? Cuz Bush and Obama sure as hell didn't
Good ol days? Isn't that what the Grass roots organization all about? And its not the same as the tea-baggers. Tea baggers are just racist sore-losers.
The last one? Yeah, he f-ing sucked. Even Ron Paul is disgusted that Bush calls himself a republican. NO other Republican has publicly come out against Bush DURING and AFTER his reign in the Oval office like Paul. REAL republicans dont look to start trillion dollar wars over-seas. And Ron Paul is REAL.
We will just keep on fighting forever so just accept my opinion and I'll accept yours. I guess you can say I'm a leftist, but if republicans actually stood true to their dogmas then I wouldn't mind voting Republican. I like the idea of conservatism, which democrats are known for NOT doing, but then at the same time why would a republican start 2 wars overseas costing us over a trillion dollars?
*Ron Paul speaks the truth, and it's evident he speaks the truth because he says all the WRONG things someone would say if they wanted to be elected president. I'd rather a politicians to say the un-popular truth to my face, then to have someone trying to make us all feel good by feeding us lies during election year, only to butt-fock us for 4 years after that

It did change the context because before it made no grammatical sense. As stupid as missing an S is, it still makes your comment very confusing.
I love how you have become so literal by highlighting "act LIKE" and "THE tourism". Makes you feel powerful right?
Why the Hell do you keep on talking about Reggie White? He is not the same as Lebron. One player in basketball has a much bigger impact in his game then one player in football. You sound like Johhny Cochran with his Chewbacca defense
