I have disposed of most of my film Stuff, but an item which I just cannot bear to part with, is my absolutely immaculate black SP11, which looks like it just came out of its box, I use it with a 50mm 1.4, & a fairly rare 45-145 Pentax Zoom.

Proton Clock Radio?...We have had one for ages....bought it new, & it has sat alongside our bed ever sinse. I LOVE a good sounding radio, & this was the best one that was available to us at the time....good bass, & good volume.
From memory, I think a matching additional speaker was also available.
Ours sounds as good as the day it was bought.

Mate, Hello from Australia.
"Not Worksafe"??....I don't think so.
You have a VERY VERY attractive model there.....I would like to see "MORE" of her, particularly if you are going to quote, "Not Worksafe"......I am absolutely sure that there are others on here that would agree with me.
Cheers, Pickles.

No mate...You've missed the point..not me.
The "point"..... is that this guy has been charged with various offenses, & he should, like anyone else, be "facing the music", and not "hiding", in a Foreign Embassy.

I am a practising Anglican (Church Of England)..have been all my life.
Lots of people are sensitive about Religion...I'm not....I don't "preach" my beliefs to anyone else, and I'm happy to listen to everyone's point of view/belief.....as long as they don't try to "preach" their beliefs to me.
Cheers, Pickles.

Yes, and the Germans got a pretty fair idea too, and the Allies got a pretty fair idea of what it's like to have the U.S. on their side....and thank goodness they did, otherwise.......none of us, including the "Anti" ones.....would be posting on here today.

I disagree...Like I said, he has a right to say what he likes, BUT.....whether they are "FactuallY Inaccurate", is open to opinion....as is the "slant"/"bias" that ALWAYS exists in his "opinions".

As I have posted, there is not much that I agree with in this thread.
Does anyone have ANYTHING of a POSITIVE nature or anything good to say about the U.S.A. & living in such a great Country?...without any cynicism, or sarcasm?
Cheers, Pickles.

Bin Laden was an arse hole....Whoever disagrees with that can join AlQuaeda (probably spelt wrongly!), go & live in Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc etc etc....& live the way they do....Don't delay....Go NOW!
The U.S.A. has its faults.....I was born in England during WW11..America did not join the war until they were attacked......very true.....I've heard it all.
BUT, when there is some "drama" in the world...who is the first country in there to assist....it ain't Russis, it ain't China, it ain't India, it ain't the UK.....no.....guess who it is.....it's the good old U.S.A......and you guys get NO credit for it.
Geez, when that tsunami hit India several years ago, George Bush diverted the WHOLE 7th Fleet to assist.....what other country did even anything remotely like that.......Credit where credit's due I say.
Cheers, Pickles.

That early Ford Van ('52/53?) is a VERY rare beast. One was restored in Aus recently....made MASSIVE money.
I wonder if this one will ever be lucky enough to have the same fortune.

Don't know whether this is the right place to mention this, I thought that there had been a recent thread about "The Bible", but despite doing a search, I couldn't find the thread.
Anyway, just thought I'd advise that another copy of "The Bible", ie Gerjan Van Oosten's book, "The Ultimate Asahi Pentax Screwmount Guide 1952-1977", has been listed on Ebay, by a Netherlands seller.

"Never As Good"?....depends what you want.....or can afford!
I'm right into American muscle Cars, let me tell you!!!.....SOME of them are the ultimate. My favourite of all time would be a Dodge Challenger 426 Hemi R/T....remember Barry Newman in "Vanishing Point".
Some others that I "like"
'69 Camaro ZL1 427.
'71 Plymouth Barracuda 426 hemi.
'70 Chevelle SS Baldwin Motion Phase 111 454.
'69 Corvette ZL1 427.
'67 Shelby Cobra 427.
'71 Dodge Charger R/T 426 hemi.
AND OF COURSE, who could ever forget the original Pontiac GTO...389..Tri-Power etc!
For sure, Classic is Classic, & "there's no substitute for cubic inches", or as they say today, "there's no replacement for displacement"!
However, if I'm cruising around on a sunday afternoon, just going for a bit of a cruise, any of the above would be awesome....BUT, if I'm going a long way, in inclement weather, our NEW GTO would be the way to go. It's not a lot slower than some of the above, with 400+ HP it goes pretty hard, & would kill any of them with repect to braking, cornering & handling.
So, when you say, "never as good", I know where you're coming from.... I simply couldn't afford any of the above....but I tell you, every time I get into the GTO & "put the pedal to the metal" it puts a smile on my face!!
Cheers, Pickles.

All sorts of different views on this. I couldn't find anything "definative" myself....even asked the question about what batteries Spotmatic users were using.....received a very poor response....maybe 2-3 "opinions".
So, I can really only quote from my experience, & what I've read.....and that is, that the Silver Oxide 1.55 volt "replacements are fine. And I would have to agree with that. The reason being is that the Spotmatic "circuit" has power going to each sides of the meter, it's the same amount of power to each side...and the additional .2v does not make any difference to meter readings.
I have a Spotmatic 11, I'm using a 1.55v Exell silver oxide battery, & I've checked exposures against my Lunasfix F exposure meter, & they're pretty much the same....I won't say EXACTLY....but they mightn't be the same with the 1.3V mercury battery either.
The shots I've taken, sinse renewing my "enthusiasm" for all things "Spotmatic & Screwmount", have been perfectly exposed, .....as far as I'm concerned anyway!
Cheers, Pickles.

I don't know whether this is the right place to say this, but on Ebay yesterday, I saw a Titanium LX, brand new in a box, "reduced" to around $3400.
Sorry, I don't know how to provide a "link", but I guess you could find it on Ebay. (Asian seller, from memory)
Cheers, Pickles.
