It's very rude to knock somebody's work--especially somebody who probably makes a good living with it. These are French portraits--it's a cultural thing I suspect.
I'm very thankful for his insight and will read the tutorials he posted.

I probably would have bought one in the beginning for my K-7. But, after hours of hiking in the forest with my camera hanging from my neck, the screen has spent lots of time smashing up against my plastic chest clip. Now it's all scratched to hell. It doesn't really matter though. I can still see the histogram and preview images just fine, especially indoors.
My camera is a tool--not a baby.

How long has it been since you've been here? Oh wait, trick question.. ;)
You should come visit...it's changed SO MUCH. It's not really even the same place it was just 5 years ago...The Tri-Cities now has a population of over 130,000

I can take several hundred DNG Raw photos if I'm shooting action for an hour. I prefer to cull my photos instead of downloading them to my hard drive. I use Fast Picture Viewer. I can see a nice big photo on screen quickly loaded straight from the camera without downloading and can zoom 100% with left mouse click or 300% with right mouse click. That gives me enough of a preview of an image to know if I want to keep it.
I can look through all 300 images within 10 minutes. The program is fast and can scroll through the images on my camera as fast as I can hit the right arrow on my keyboard.
That's an alternative to sitting there for 5-10 minutes doing nothing while all your pictures download.
Nate.

Thank you very much. I have been reading this forum a lot--mostly to find good lenses. It's nice to see other people from around here--I've NEVER met another Pentax shooter. We're a rare breed. Other photogs I know look at me funny when I tell them I shoot Pentax. Whateva!
