Shot as a kid finished his carnival corndog and is ready for a funnel cake to be handed his way! Ahh, there is no JOY like the one you get from greasy/sugary food!

I bought this for my k10d and I think I goofed, it won't mount on the camera, it's will fit the holes but a sliding black tab keeps it from fitting flush to the mount and turning...It says pentax so is this for a pentax video camera or something? The converter has the number 861 on the side.

I'm shooting a wedding in September at dusk, 6:30pm, outdoor, lots of trees so I'm afraid it will dark. What kind of lighting system or flash should I rent. Budget is $200 or less for rental. 3 shooters. Should I rent a radio flash set up?

Thanks Marc, I didn't realize I had done either of those things, I guess the 1.3 was still dialed in from the last time the previous owner used it and I didn't even check it! dialing in on gray, also didn't dawn on me, makes sense now but on the fly I was thinking of so many other things like FOCUS FAST FOCUS FAST FOCUS FAST with you manual lens! Thanks man! Is there a good pentax course I can take for sports?

What settings should I tweek or mods should I use for low light baseball on a K-10D with old lenses? The lenses i have are Takumar 85-210 4.5, Vivitar 100-300mm 5.6, Pentax 80-200mm 4-5.6. Tonight i used the vivtar but the auto aperature was making everything blown out, way to bright. So just shot full analog from that point on. Is there an adjustment i can make to help the auto ap? I'll post a link of photos for you to analyze in a few minutes.. Thanks guys!

Get a k-7, it won't cost you much more an you'll get features like battery grip, external microphone, hdvideo, and weather proofing. i just traded my k-x for a k-10 because of the lack of battery grip and weather proofing and the k-x is WAY faster and better processor wise!

i wish!! I live in kentucky NO PENTAX DEALERS, it's brutal, I get treated like a misfit for using pentax, which is fine, i'm a pentax loyalist, Murphy's camera can suck it.

If you want to get rid of it I'll buy it from you, i don't like the small size of the battery grip because I have really big hands and it always feels like the camera is falling out of my hand. The added size is fine and the added protection will be great, I can't afford to lose this rig to a baseball.

You must be right about the northwest because tons of the used pentax equipment is for sale in Washington state, specifically Seattle! I guy I do a lot of work for has me shoot with his Nikon D3 with a Sigma Bigma 50-500mm, i've used it in driving rain with no problem, that beast is fun to shoot but so damn heavy it will physically destroy you on a 12hour shoot.

Thanks man! I'm thinking it can't hurt but I know I've heard at least one guy complain that it interferes with buttons and stuff. I think it's worth $20 bucks to lighten a potential camera killing blow. Thats great to know that the k10d is rugged!

i bought my grandfather's ESII from his estate along with all his super takumar lenses and i've been a pentaxian loyalist ever since, could you make me an ESII tag or should I just use the spotmatic tag? I'm probably the only person still using the ESII but I love it.

I'm shooting baseball and take frequent baseball strikes each day, i can't afford to buy multiple rigs so is camera armor a good investment? Will it really take the edge off a direct hit or not?

I meant fast as in not notorious for "hunting" for focus... focusing fast is what I meant to say. My budget is under $200 and focal length of 135mm or better. While I'm at it can someone explain the benefit of a "prime" lens?

I need a fast 2.8 autofocus telephoto film lens to mount on my k10d until I can get enough cash for a digital telephoto 2.8. PLEASE make some recommendations of old autofocus lenses that used to be considered really fast, I don't care about noisy, but quick and 2.8 is what I need for outdoor sports. If you see anything on KEH that might work they're prices are perfect for my budget. Or if you have one to sell I'll buy it. Don't care about brand either.
