Yes thanks for the reply guys, just after i posted i saw that the flange around the lens was getting in the way so i removed the two screws and it popped out, the lens goes in and out without a worry now, works great.
Anyone know if this has any effect on the lens ?

I just bought a Tokina 28mm and for some reason it wont click in i line up the red dots and it wont slide around. Looking at the mounts to my other lenses it doesn't look any different ?
It says on the back.

Yes i did a bit of research into the 18-250 and many said that its better to get the DA 55-300 to go with my 18-55 as its better.
I like taking close ups of objects that you just cant get to, or animals etc.
Also is it worth paying an extra $100 to get the DA version of the 55-300mm

I have a k-x with the DAL 18-55mm and i just want to get another good lens for traveling.
Just wondering if i would be better to get a zoom lens like the DA 55-300 or something like a sigma 17-70mm

Hello, i have just got a Pentax k-x and i have the kit lens DAL 18-55. I want to get a zoom lens and i can get the DAL 55-300 that comes with the kit lens. Or i can get a Tamron 18-250mm. How does the Tamron compare with the kit lenses for the K-X.

Very new to photography and just got a Pentax K-x about a week ago, went to the Japanese Gardens this weekend and these are my favorites.
