DBG-2 grip and three aftermarket batteries have been sold! The camera including all accessories and software is still available.

No lenses are included and I do not have any to sell with the camera.

Item for Sale
K10D

Asking Price
270

Item Location
Appleton, Wisconsin

Item Description
I reluctantly have to take a hiatus from photography, so I am selling my K10D. It has approximately 36,000 actuations and everything works perfectly. The only flaws on the body are a tear in the rubber eye cup (does not cause problems and is replaceable), some wear marks on the strap hooks, and some very, very slight scratches on the LCD screen that can't even be seen unless the light hits the screen at the right angle.

The comes with one original Pentax battery, two chargers (one wall and one car), the original Pentax Photo Browser software, manuals for both the camera and software, original Pentax strap, and all cables.

Asking price is $270 shipped to the Continental US, other destinations please contact me for a price.

If there are any questions please let me know.

After looking around a bit I noticed my original price was a bit high, so I've lowered the price and updated the original post accordingly.

Item for Sale
Pentax K100D body

Asking Price
SOLD locally for $200

Item Location
Appleton, Wisconsin

Item Description
I'm new to the DSLR world and I recently bought this K100D and a K10D so I could play with both a little bit and decide which one suited me better. I LOVE the feel and ease of use of the K100D, but I've decided to keep the K10D for its features.

This camera is in fantastic condition. I can't find a blemish on it anywhere, and it even smells new. According to PhotoME the shutter count is around 1900

Included with the camera are the cables, manual, body cap, hot shoe cap, neck strap, four Duracell rechargeable AA batteries w/ wall charger, and, if wanted, a small, basic (nothing fancy) carrying case and table tripod, both of which came with the camera when I bought it.

If anyone has any questions or concerns or wants additional pictures or more info please let me know. :)

***I apologize for showing the neck strap in two different pictures. Only one strap comes with the camera.***

I'm actually not sure what the ISO was for those shots. :o I was using green mode so I wasn't really controlling much of anything. I've played with manual modes a little but I haven't been able to get any of the shots to turn out yet. I just need to sit down and read how to use the different settings in different lighting.

So in good light I should be using low ISO, correct?

It was suggested that I start posting photos here to get opinions/advice. I'm as new as new can be to the DSLR/photography world, so these pictures aren't half as good as the others found on the forum, but hopefully I'll get better at it as I learn my camera (K10D). I'm having a lot of fun so far though! :D

About a year ago I immersed myself in the world of working dogs, so that's what a good majority of my photos will end up covering. What I have so far aren't the sharpest or the clearest yet. Many of the shots I take are of dogs that are on the move and/or are taken in lighting conditions that I personally find tricky as of right now (dogs in and out of shade as well as myself moving in and out of shade to get different angles).

Feel free to critique, criticize, make suggestions, give advice, etc. I'm here to practice and learn so I'm open to all thoughts and opinions! :)

These five photos are of my little fireball taken in my back yard (they're cropped so they're pretty grainy looking unfortunately :():

These two are of my friend's dog taken during a training day:

And this one is of my friend's other dog taken at her house:

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Tamia: Yes, DSLRs are AWESOME. It's quite a steep learning curve coming from my old P&S to the K10D, but I'm enjoying it a lot, and even the worst photos from my K10D are far and away better than anything my P&S ever captured. Also, thank you for the suggestions on where to post pictures! :)

Hello everyone. I'm a complete newbie to photography and after owning an awful P&S for several years and then using a friend's DSLR (and finding it to be an absolute blast to use and play with), I decided to make the jump, and I don't think I'll ever use a P&S again.

I initially was going to buy a Canon but then started doing more research and found Pentax, and was quickly sold (with A LOT of help from this website ;)). I ended up buying both a K10D and a K100D Super because I had no idea which one I'd like better, but after using both for a few sessions I'm finding that I greatly prefer the K10D.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here and thank you to all of you that provide the great information found on this site. It has been and I'm sure will continue to be an enormous help for highly inexperienced people like me! :)
