I love my K-X. Nothing wrong with it. But I just want a bulkier camera, and the K-7 or K-5 seem to fit my wants. Specially the water proofing seal that's a plus for me. My K-X just feels like a toy sometimes compared to the other brands i've used and tested. So far the K-5 is what I have my cross hair on. The batteries on K-5 and the dual SD card sounds really cool and if it comes out with a WR lens kit then i'm more on the K-5 side now... and if the K-5 comes out with a batterygrip, then the better because it's pretty much like the K-7 but only better...
idk if you guys are getting what i mean... I'm feelin kinda sick while i typed this.

Well... IDK if its really an upgrade, but my friend wants to buy my camera for close to the price as i bought it for...
I just snooped around for the K-5 just now... When is it's release date? I might just start saving up now and then sell my K-X then go with the K-5...

I have to say, Sanyo Eneloops have been my K-X's favorite buddy... I barely need to charge it and I get about 600-800shots per charge in 1 set... It's amazing... The K-R seems pretty cool too...Higher FPS and Auto Pict mode... I'm only wondering if it's the same sensor as K-X...
According to DxOMark sensor comparison. The K-X is at the top... (K-R hasnt been scored yet)

What should I get? K-7 or K-R? The K-R just released, so i guess new features... And it's in the middle of K-X and K-7. Any suggestions?

Anyone have experience with Promaster Japan 28-80mm 3.5-5.8. I found this on a posting on craigslist for $45. The mount is a k mount, and it is autofocus.
If possible, please do provide sample photos and or feedback and let me know if i should pay $45 for this lens. Thanks!

same thing happens to me. I'm noob, but i have 5 months experience with DA-L lenses. These lenses are really loud when focusing too. Fekish, idk if this will help from a noob, i think fixing the focal point would help, but when that happens to me, i just quickly switch my camera to Manual Focus. Instead of fighting with it, i just worked with it.

haha... Me too. I might just sell my K-X and get about $500 from it and half the price of the K-7 with my mom...

Can you really give the K-7 a shower? I'm sure you can give it a shower and a quick dry but you can't submerge it correct? How do i do this? Which lenses can you give a shower with the K-7?

I guess, i messed up pretty badly. But I really don't regret it. I still have my DA L 50-300 zoom lens. I'm also saving up for the Tamron 17-70mm.

That's one thing you gotta like about Pentax... They stayed with 1 kind of mount. Not like the other brands... Right now i'm having fun with this 50mm lens from the 80s. <3 KX

Yeah, sometimes, the lens that comes with it is hard to focus. it keeps trying to focus... try changing the focus point...
