Hi I just got a used AS IS DFA 28-105 from a local auction site, the vendor sold it as MF only, because it behaves strange mounted on the K1 (And it does so on my K1 and K3). AF hunts in Phase Detect and Contrast AF, with the exception of the lens set at 28mm, but at any other focal length it hunts. Zebra pattern focus confirmation while Manual focussing works perfectly, as well as focus confirmation through the viewfinder, while manually focussing.

Not exactly, the problem is, that I live in Bolivia, there is no service center here that I trust to make such a repair, and sending my camera to a authorized service center in the US and paying the eventual repair would cost me around about what a used K3 is worth at the moment. I bought a K1 and use the K3 for telephoto applications until I get back to Colombia where I will try my luck with a technician I know.

I tried it once again and for some strange reason on one occasion the vignette disappeared, but then it happened again (I am shooting withe the 14 mm with the hood on to replicate the issue). To rule out a firmware related issue I updated to 1.3 but the problem persists...

its stuck, i can hear the sensor moving when shifting left to right, but it does not move when trying to move it up or down, i tried the percussive maintenance and reset, but the problem persists

Hi, I just came back from a photo trip and it seems that my K3īs sensor is stuck (i use composition adjustment in LV a lot) i can not recenter the sensor and when taking pictures with the Da 14 with a filter or the lens hood on i get vignetting on the upper part. I suppose IS is not working either. I can move the sensor from left to right, but not up and down, it seems to have gotten stuck in the upper position. Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

A Pentax K5, I used PkTheter, to enable Debug, then created the files on the sd card to enter advanced debug ( I found that it is important to use notepad ++ to create the empty develop.mod file (to save it as "all files (*.*) " ), after that it was very straightforward following the detailed instructions in this thread.

I just converted a Da* 16-50mm i bought "AS-IS" with a broken SDM Motor from Ebay for 250 Usd incuding a Hoya Digital Plus UV Filter !! Thanks a lot to all that helped in finding this method and explaining it so easily that I did it in just 15 minutes :-)

Thanks, I also have a Android Tablet which works perfectly with the Flucard, but I wanted to try out some Windows Phone apps since the Lumia 1020 is the device I always carry with me. It seems that the Liveview is still not supported for Windows Phone.

I know this threat is old, but i too just got a K3 with a Flucard, i just tried the Maxthon Browser for my Lumia 1020 running WP 8.1, I could connect to the camera (using the adrress http://192.168.1.1), activate the shutter, change the shutter speed, aperture, Iso. and other settings, I can view the JPGs, but i do not get Live View. So right now it can be used as a remote shutter with camera controls.

I just checked the K3II manual, Pixel Shift will not work in Bulb, X-Sync and Green Mode, therefore I assume 30 seconds is the max duration.
I would love it if by Pentax Firmware we could have the possibility to adjust exposure times greater than 30 seconds (just as the Astrotracer menu provides us with the possibility to adjust exposures up to 5 minutes).

Thanks for you valuable input, i currently still have a K7 and a K5, but i am seriously considering upgrading to the K3ii mostly because of the pixel shit feature and better AF. I shoot a lot of long exposure Fine Art Landscape with ND filters, could you please tell me if the pixel shift feature has a time limit (eg. no more than 1 seconds - 30 seconds?), i imagine it does not surpass 30 seconds because that is BULB territory?

I am sure pretty much everything is already decided and they will probably not make any huge hardware changes now, but perhaps some firmware features could be implemented ;-). Personally i would love to see a very good AF tracking system. Maybe it is just away for them to see what the reaction of the public was to the announcement.
