Hi, HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you. I was away last week, to visit my wife's parents, they live in Cali, Colombia, a region with LOTS of Birds, i took a lot of pictures with the K5 and restricted the use of the Pentax Q for taking video footage, which i find it excels in. Here is a short clip of a beautiful bird the Blue Crowned Motmot (Momotus momota) which came to visit at the family weekend house. Shot with the Nikon 300mm f4.5 ED IF lens at f8, manual exposure at ISO 800. You Tube |

This will be a nice new threat, the Q is a very useful tool indeed.
Shot yesterday, with the Q and the Sigma 150-500 ... I totally forgot to use the aperture ring on the Fotodiox Adapter, so i think it was pretty near to fully closed (in my excuse... it was 1:30 am when I finally went out to look at the sky :) )
