I have experience with the 100mm bellows lens for slide copying. Optically identical to the macro lens. It is outstanding. Don't add glass.

I think that the SPF and KM are the same. The SV is different.

Official tests are done with specific nozzles with water at specific pressure. It might be useful to know what the standard is. Pentax 90WR film cameras were "top rack dishwasher safe" not including the dry cycle. That claim had to do with the test standard of water jets from all sides compared to normal dishwasher pressure. Without knowing what the standard it is all guessing. BTW, don't try that with a current product. I think the current standard for water resistant products is a standard Japanese watering can held 3 feet above the camera for a specific amount of time.

Before X cubes, people left their pair of 815 batteries in the camera until they corroded up solid, which generated upset customers at Christmastime. You can't sell film if the camera doesn't work. X cubes allowed happy people to not worry.

It recognized lithium as separate because they have a higher voltage (1.6v) than the Ni-MH batteries (1.2v) and even Alkaline AA (1.5v).

To clean the focusing screen you need to remove the top cover. You will need to remove the prism to get to the focusing screen. That may require removing the circuit board before loosening the set screws and removing the springs and metal piece that hold it into place.

You would get something that looks like that at a thrift store until you could get a cheap electronic flash. I used a flashbulb flash in Argentina in the mid 70's.

It looks a lot like mineral residue from water in the lens. Really difficult to clean.

The hood has a strip of felt around the inside of the hood too keep it from moving freely. Maybe it is worn. Maybe it is gone.

In the picture you can see the shutter curtain edge. The mirror is up because the shutter curtain hasn't gone all the way across the frame. The slow speed governor may need lubrication.

The slow speed governor probably needs lubrication. Many times, however, you can try exercising it by repeatedly firing the shutter at progressively slower speeds. The slow speed governor is for speeds of 1/30 and slower.

A few decades ago I encountered Rokinon UV filters that shifted focus making infinity focus impossible. Are you using a filter?
