My first offering to the pentax forums. I have no clue what the aperture setting was because I use linux and the file details on my computer don't tell me that. No real post-processing on this picture, just shrink to fit on the web. Any comments on how to take better wildlife photos would be great :)

Hello,
Just joined the forums because of the wealth of knowledge here. I'm very much an amature and not that great with a camera, but I do enjoy photography. I mostly do landscape, wildlife, and action shots (mountain biking, 4x4 shots etc) I wouldn't consider myself huge into photography as I have an older, outdated camera (pentax k10d) and only the kit lens and a cheaper telephoto lens. I'm going on a big backpacking trip soon (90 miles long over 9 days!!) and hope to learn more about photography before I go.
